Welcome back @B.N.Z.MTNS !!
Hell . My names cadden. I live in oregon. Lots of off road stuff to do here .
Anyways I stumbled upon this site and decided to register since I just got my very own 1970 GMC jimmy. It came with lots of new parts and a lot of work to do but everything is there. 6 inch suspension lift is already installed. Tires are brand new 35 Goodyear MTR' . Has a sm465 transmission and np205 transfer case. (I've actually got 2 transmissions it came with and 2 front drivelines)
I thought I'd be able to upload a picture on this but I cant figure it out
For pics - the free membership allows you to link pics remotely hosted elsewhere AFTER you have 5 posts (to make sure you aren't a bot, etc). A paid membership allows you to either attach a pic to a post or upload your photos to a personal ck5 album (unlimited storage) which you can link here or on other sites.
Note - I don't think the free membership will allow you to see paid member attached (not linked) photos.
Ah that makes sense. Well 25 bucks a year ain't bad. Depending on what I find here I may subscribe to premium.
Hello everyone. Do I need to have a premium account to post in the tech section? THANKS
No sir, you can post in the “garage” all ya want. If you want access to the premium member side, its part of the membership, and includes unlimited posting of pictures
Finally diving into getting some work done on my 1990 K5, I've owned for 20 years. Besides a BDS 4.5" lift and 35 x 12.50s, she's pretty much stock everything.
I'm looking for some new bumpers. I've explored a couple custom fab options, anyone have any suggestions?
Do you have the means or desire to build your own? If not look at DIY4x or Offroad Design
and Welcome Aboard!
No, don't have any room to do fab the bumpers myself.
I've spoken with the folks at http://www.logansmetal4x4.com/ and https://www.bluelakeoffroad.com/
Anyone worked with either of those?
or call 4xstore.com
@Bent77 doesn't look like ORD is doing bumpers these days...
The rear bumper on mine is from Logans Metal they make a great product . Got it about the time they said I would. Look at it on one of my post is a picture.
For front I am trying to save for this one
Other updates keep getting in the way
This is the previous owners bumper setup of my Jimmy. I'd much prefer a stock bumper honestly
