Welcome back @B.N.Z.MTNS !!
Welcome aboard!
For pics - the free membership allows you to link pics remotely hosted elsewhere AFTER you have 5 posts (to make sure you aren't a bot, etc). A paid membership allows you to either attach a pic to a post or upload your photos to a personal ck5 album (unlimited storage) which you can link here or on other sites.
Note - I don't think the free membership will allow you to see paid member attached (not linked) photos.
No sir, you can post in the “garage” all ya want. If you want access to the premium member side, its part of the membership, and includes unlimited posting of picturesHello everyone. Do I need to have a premium account to post in the tech section? THANKS![]()
Do you have the means or desire to build your own? If not look at DIY4x or Offroad DesignFinally diving into getting some work done on my 1990 K5, I've owned for 20 years. Besides a BDS 4.5" lift and 35 x 12.50s, she's pretty much stock everything.
I'm looking for some new bumpers. I've explored a couple custom fab options, anyone have any suggestions?

No, don't have any room to do fab the bumpers myself.
I've spoken with the folks at http://www.logansmetal4x4.com/ and https://www.bluelakeoffroad.com/
Anyone worked with either of those?
Pics are a function of post counts (more than 5)Hi guys! new member here in Maryland. Joined to hopefully get some help as i bring back a '87 C/K 30 454 with a 22' jerr-dan flatbed. My dad and i bought it a few years ago and it's been on the back burner of the project list til just recently.
i had a 80's K5 blazer in my teen years that needed more work then my current experience (and interest) could do so we sold it and i've been regretting it since.
My dad is big into hot rods (30's - 50's) and has a '36 fully restored Suburban.
i have a model A rat rod project that like the flatbed has been on the back burner haha
i daily a '93 suzuki samurai. i just finished my '85 rx7 project that i put a honda S2k motor in and she's running great! i also have a '91 nissan skyline GTR with a 6266 single on it. i have my welding certs plus a larger garage. short of machining work, between my dad and myself we can do just about anything we need to fixing vehicle wise. Hope to get some use out of the forum!
Let me see if i can figure out how to post some pics of my toys, the '87 flatbed and my dads suburban
Hi im Mike 1990 v1500 suburban 4x4 ive had 21 years, i just replaced my 3rd transfer case, and ordered it 2 years ago and just got time today to unpack and install, mine was a 241 c electronic, and i received a 241c speedo cable version, is there a easy solution to transfer cable to electric without swapping old half of my other case and reassembling? Any suggestions? Thanks in advanceWelcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck.![]()
Any good solution will need the right housing which means you need to change the rear tail housing.Hi im Mike 1990 v1500 suburban 4x4 ive had 21 years, i just replaced my 3rd transfer case, and ordered it 2 years ago and just got time today to unpack and install, mine was a 241 c electronic, and i received a 241c speedo cable version, is there a easy solution to transfer cable to electric without swapping old half of my other case and reassembling? It's not that bad since you have the old one.
You could also sell the mechanical speedometer housing when you are done.
There is a market for that
