Introductions & Greetings

I'm technically not new here, but I haven't been active. I'm from NE Kansas. I've owned several K5 Blazers and squarebody trucks. I currently own an '89 K5, '75 K5, '76 C10 short bed, '84 C10 short bed, '87 K10 long bed, and an '87 C10 long bed. Obviously I love squares. I'm excited to be back on here and to learn from you guys and to see your projects.
Glad to have you back here! That sounds like a nice herd of trucks!

Hi my name is Brian. I'm a new member and owner. Purchased a 1974 chevy blazer cheyenne edition. The previous owner added 1 ton axles and a lift (not sure of the size, if anyone can help me determine the size of the lift that would be great) on 37s. Looking to lower it a bit and put it on some 35s once the tires wear out, will be doing some light trail riding but mainly driving around town. This will also be my hunting rig.

Brian, welcome aboard

in terms of the lift, measure from the top of the axle up to the bottom of the pad for the front spring bump stop. 12.5” is about 4” lift

Hi everyone. My name is Robb and I'm working on my 1973 Chevy K5 Blazer. Had her since the mid 90's, but it is finally time for a rebuild. I found this site while trying to locate a rear seat and figure out options for a bumper-mounted spare tire solution. Glad to have found this community and looking forward to contributing.

Welcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck. :D
Hello my name is hawkc I have a 87 k5 blazer been getting it back together slowly but surely. Motor and transmission is new interior is in pretty good shape and body.

Welcome aboard. I see you found the garage forum to work on the transfer case issue. Good luck

After viewing this forum many times as the result of google searches, I figured I might as well just join and go premium!

I started out my addiction with a purchase of an 83 C10 a few years ago. Dabbled in learning how to work on it. Then a year later purchased my first K5 (1988). Now I’ve been working on fixing things and making it my own.
So far I’ve completed re-gearing the rear, rebuilding the transfer case, replacing rear u joints and wheel bearings.

Next project is new suspension and steering. Planning on 4” spring lift, ORD crossover steering, new steering box, rebuild the whole front end, etc.

Looking forward to learning more on this forum!

Thanks,
