Introductions & Greetings

Your sin for selling back then was atoned when you bought this one. Welcome.

What's the plans for this one?
I'm looking to build an overland/medium duty wheeler. It's already has 3/4 ton axles so I'll be looking for a D60 to replace the 10 bolt filled with 4.88s and lockers. I want to go to a LQ4 or LQ9 6.0 backed by either a NV4500 or a Tremec TR4050, 4L80 if I stay auto. Transfer case choice is up in the air right now but I know the 203 is going away. Tires are going to be either 35" or 37" and reworking the suspension from what looks like a 4" to a 5-6" with crossover steering. The rest will be sliders, a cage and bumpers.

Hey everyone, im the proud owner of 1 1984 k5 list of mods is as follows. 350 vortec converted to carb, edelbrock 650, Hedman headers, msd dist cap and rotor, 700r4 trans, custom built driveshaft (front driveshaft from a burb works for a great rear shaft) corporate 14 axle out back 10 up front np241 transfer case, aircraft seats and new wire harness eliminating any cpu or anything else. More stuff to come all the metal is currently getting patch welds to give it the complete Frankenstein look inside, thus she is nicknamed "frankenblazer". Im in aviation and currently drive her from okc to huntsville al monthly. Also 35" tires and 4.10 gears.

Welcome sounds like a well set up K5

2 years lots of money and lots of searching. She is no means mint though. Im not sure if this is the right place to say this but I have a ton of stuff for k5's and ill help anyone I can with advice and headaches I've encountered. Gotta get these beauties back on the road before they're all gone

Looking forward to some photos of that...I like the idea, sounds like it will look cool. Welcome!

Hello, new guy here...my name is James I live in west Texas and work in the oilfield out here. I bought a heap of a truck a few months ago and have been doing some mild tinkering and gathering parts so far...but about ready to get serious and bring her back to life.
Truck is a 1986 M1009 with no engine but it came with a LS3
She isn't much to look at now but hopefully one day will be something
I look forward to meeting yall and gathering the knowledge needed to turn this thing into something...thanks

Hello, from Tennessee!
So I finally got my 1969 Blazer. This will be my first real project ever so I’m definitely open to suggestions and pointers. This 69 is original except for the seats and bumpers. Original in line 6 does run and I’ve crept around my parking lot in it but haven’t had her on the road. (No Brakes). Here’s my plan or what I have of one.. I’m going to start with new rocker boxes and panels. Then all new floor pans(cab and bed). I want to leave the current fenders on it for now. That’s really all I want to do to it cosmetically at the moment. Then I want to move onto the motor. I would like to get the straight six running as good as possible and leave it in therE. However, I may have an opportunity to purchase a New building 383 at a good price. So I’m a little indecisive there. The main thing is I don’t mind the way the body looks for now. I just want this thing running good so I can drive it on a regular. I’ll try to attach some pictures thanks for looking. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0cPv4Rc_JwXngpzmA5MMAPUHg

@holman Welcome. You can post pictures after you have more than 3 post, if I remember correctly. Pay the annual premium membership and get access to everything.

Go to this forum and start a build thread. Post your pictures and questions there. The CK5 brotherhood will chime in with responses and suggestions. https://ck5.com/forums/ck5/the-driveway-build-threads.91/

Where are you in Tennessee?

Welcome, go vols!

I'm technically not new here, but I haven't been active. I'm from NE Kansas. I've owned several K5 Blazers and squarebody trucks. I currently own an '89 K5, '75 K5, '76 C10 short bed, '84 C10 short bed, '87 K10 long bed, and an '87 C10 long bed. Obviously I love squares. I'm excited to be back on here and to learn from you guys and to see your projects.
