Introductions & Greetings

hi guys. my name is mason. i live in south carolina. i'm a 20 year old college dropout soon to be back in school. i drive a 2001 ford f-150 4x4 ext cab black. all stock except for flowmaster exhaust. i know i know, WRONG FORUM! but i'm in the process of selling it (to go back to school) and am getting an 80's K5 as soon as possible. i am in love with them. i'm currently salivating over a 1987 K5 silverado, but we'll see! i used to be all for brand loyalty, as i have only ever driven fords (used to drive a 90' ranger 4x4) but i think that blazers are way too gorgeous not to like, no matter what brand they are.

nice to meet ya'll!

Hi! I am Heyzeus. I have a 72K5 thats about to go into the shop. I have a lot of trouble finding the time to work on the truck. I coach my kids in everything they do and am real active in my family life so i guess the truck takes 3rd bill after a demanding family and job. its going in on Sunday if anyone has any free advice, i think Im doing away with the top completely and going with a convert fasttrac. The color selection still doesnt sit right on me yet.

I know I should have posted in this thread when I signed up over a month ago but I just now saw it. Anything you would want to know about me can be found in the two links in my signature below, one is my MySpace, the other is my photo album here on CK5.

I'm just a 30 year old guy living in Northeast Ohio and an avid Blazer fan. I am especially fond of '73-'75 full convertible models as I own a '73 K5 myself. Picture of it can be found in my CK5 photo album (link below). It's in near-perfect shape with only 68K miles on it. It was a steal at only $5,000. Down from the original asking price of $10,000. It pays to be patient. :D

Nother noob

Hello all!! My name is Rusty Clark and I am a newly rcognized K5 addict!! I am 28 from Ashland, KY. I have wanted one since i was a kid and finally got my first one. Its an 86 Silverado. Little rough in the rockers and floors but all else is pretty solid. Not many mods as of yet but i have only had it a few months and i am tryin gto undo alot of junk the PO had done/not done. As usual the plan was to get it lifted and throw some tires on then go from there. Well that plan got shot down quickly. Got akiller deal on a set of new procomp X-terrain 35's so i was gonna do phase one based around those. I was using it as a DD getting ready to order the lift. Everyone said you will never get 35's on a stock blazer without alot of cutting, but it looked like they would go(street driving) so i figured what the heck. Took it to the local tire shop and the guy just laughed, after he realized i was serious he mounted them up. That night while driving home from work the motor locked up! Just my luck! So now my plan was to get the thing mechanically sound then start with the fun stuff. A friend had a fresh 355 he sold me cheap, so we threw it in. Got it pretty much together and most of the bugs lined out when all my jeep buddies were headin toward the woods. Y not?! Lets take the blazer!! Wheeled it all day with no problems!! I am stoked now the fun starts! Bought an old truck for the 14FF and D60, goin through them now. The parts truck also had a 4spd and a 205 so this will all find its way int o the K5. No pics now but i hope to get some posted soon. Thanks for all the info(been reading alot) and any questions or advice i may need in the future.
