Introductions & Greetings

:usaflag:Howdy All, this is Brandon from Ely, NV. I've got an 81 K30 with seven inches of suspension lift, a 454, sm465, np205, dana 60 front, 14BFF rear and 38.5 Boggers. I am a chevy guy, but pretty much anybody who wheels is cool with me!

Hello, Jason checking in from Atlanta......

Hope to give and receive some good info.....

Im a GM tech (7yrs) and have been an all around auto tech for about 10yrs. Looking for any other members around Atlanta, GA or close by.

Hello all. My names Vinnie, 18 from NJ. I drive an 87 Chevy Stepside thats half done that I have bigger plans for.

Right now its got a 30,000mile rebuilt 350 TBI with an sm465 and 208 behind it. 10bolt front and 14b 10.5in ring rear with a posi. It sits on a 4in rancho suspension lift and 3in body lift over 36x12.5 TSL radials.

The plans in the end are a locked dana 60 front, locked 14b FF rear, 1ton cast sm465 and a 205 case. Most likely staying on 36's to make the 1ton toughness more worthwhile.

I plan to tweak the suspension to take it from eh to properly done by removing the body lift and replacing those horrid rear blocks with a 4in ORD shackle flip. I'll also be adding longer shackle front and rear to bring my lift around 5.5in suspension.

The bodylift removal will be first, and I plan to do the shackle flip at the same time. Hopefully I'll have the 1ton axles in at the beginning of next summer and then the 1ton 465 and 205 in over the summer. In the mean time while money is tight I'll be painting, and installing little things.

Hello everyone, killer site. I have been on for over a weekbut haven't been able to post. Since I can now, time to introdure myself. I recently purchased a 1974 k5. I bought it in vallejo hoping to drive it back to san jose (technically I traded another car for it). On the way home it died on the freeway resulting in a tow home. The truck is in need of a serious overhaul. It has an 8 inch lift with 42" tsl's and (supposedly) a 95 vortech 350. Also equipped with a 4 speed granny low and 205 t-case. It's my first 4x4 ever and it seems alot of stuff on the truck has been hack-jobbed so expect to see many a question from me in the future asking for help. I'll make a thread of my own soon but for now hello to all!

Hello everybody,
Im Jim from PA. I just bought a 91 Blazer Silverado which i found on craigslist and looking for tech advise aswell as looking to see what others have done with their rides. Mine was bought 100% stock with 110k miles on it. drivers window is slow, pass side window doesnt work at all, and tailgate motor spins free like something came apart. First thing ive done already was replace the exhaust from cat back with a flowmaster setup because the original exhaust was literally hanging from rear hanger. Blazer is 99% rust free with a recent paint job. Color is black with red interior. A friend who has been into 4x4's for years gave a set of 33x12.50-15 tires which ill be putting on soon.
A little about me...Im a vw tech and Harley sportster nut. Im a moderator at BikersHangout.com (sorry if advertising other sites is a no-no, delete if so) am engaged and have a 4y/o jackrussel terrier mix. This is my first chevy in ten years and i think i got a good one this time. I dont hunt but do own guns. I love beer. I have planned vacations that are near junkyards. Thats pretty much all i can think of.

hi, im kevin. i have been a member since 2004 but never posted till i saw the prerunner thread and talk of sand dunes, lol. i have been a forklift mechanic for over 10 years. i also build race engines and race cars on the side, although that has been slow this year since i had to move and my regular job is unnecasarily time consuming. i live southern california, no wife or kids or any of that, just my toys. i spend alot of time at glamis, i moderrate a glamis website.

i have a stable of project vehicles, lol my first being my 79 blazer, had it 16 years. everything has been changed or modified in some way. to date i have had 7 transmissions in it either t350 or the 2 t700-r4's i tried and broke. the rear axle has been broke and rebuilt 4 times (i probably drive a little too hard) but after do the last rearend and trans myself i havent had any issues since, go figure. i have a lot of plans for it to make i perform at high speed in the desert better. current engine is one i built 10 years ago, stock block and cast crank thats been machined for better strenght and heat treated. 6 in rods, kb pistons 9.5:1 comp, dart sportsman heads and a small roller cam, holley intake and a edlebrock carb, roller rockers headers etc. im currently changing the heads and cam to some dart pro1 aluminum heads and a much larger more radical cam, the head swap will also bump my compression up some more.

my tow rig is a 73 chevy crew cab single rear wheel 2wd. i need to basically rebuild everything on this truck. its got a big block in it, trans needs rebuilt, and interior is shot. im collecting parts to update the interior and add a few things that came on later models like power everything. i am thinking of converting it to 4wd as well just in case i get stuck pulling a trailer out at glamis (camp areas are sand).

last project car is my 82 camaro, its currently a shell but i have all the parts to complete it, just need to start fabricating the roll cage and some other items. its strickly a race car, engine i have going in this should make upwards of 900hp, with only 362 cubic inches, naturally aspirated. its basically a comp eliminator engine that i am putting into a small tire super stocker hopefully to go a few rounds at nhra events and try to compete in some 10.5 outlaw classes.

now all i need is time to do all this stuff, lol

Hello,

My name is Allan Greenblazer. I have been a member for quite a while, but have been away for a long time too. I just renewed my membership so I can sell my 74 K5, but it wont let me post in the classified forum. How long will it take before I can use the membership benefits?

Once you become a full member (pay $25) you can go anywhere and do anything on the site for a year. And you'll get a cool "member" badge under your name.

Is you last name really Greenblazer? If so, is your '74 K5 green? :D

Woa, your name has the word blazer in it? Jealous

Hello,

Greenblazer is my alias not my legal name yet, but almost everyone that knows me thinks it is my real name. Someday I will probably legally change it because I do not care for my real last name. I do owe the alias to this forum though, I needed an online alias, and it was something that I created for use here, but it stuck and I like it so much that I use it in everyday life. I even write it on personal belongings that need my name on them. You can find me all over the internet under the name Allan Greenblazer. I only use my real name when I legally have to otherwise my name is Allan Greenblazer. Green is not only my favorite color, I am a green freak. Even my hair is green.
