When my blazer was stolen, the top was off. It's for a '74 if your interested, not a whole lota use for it now, most days I wanna kick the crap out of it, so it would be nice for it to go to a good home.

Hi all, just joined ck5 as a member, but I have poked around a bit before. You guys have all sorts of useful info & pics that have helped me many times over the last couple of years so I decided to join. I'd like to post some pics of my "moneypit" but not sure how.

Howdy and thanks for wonderful place. I've trolled around here for a long time and absolutely love the info. I've owned my 91 suburban for roughly 2 years and can't imagine getting rid of it. Thanks for the great place to find information.

Well here it goes, My name is Ron and i am from north Texas. I have been looking for a Mid 80' swb pickup for awhile but couldnt find one that wasnt completly trashed. Or completly restored so i got a 83 blazer and took the top off, i know some of the purist will bash me, but hey. I think i like it better than a truck, for the shorter wheelbase.I only need this ride for the deer lease and to keep my daily driver free from scratches, i am a member of www.cumminsforum.com and i may be able to answer some of your cummins diesel questions. I plan on Learning alot from you guys and maybe build up a dependable beach/trail rig soon.

New member looking for Military P/U - CUCV

Hey - my name's Chris & I live in upstate NY. Looking these days for an 80's Chev. M1008. Bone stock preferred. Not looking to do much crawling w/ it - just looking for a solid workhorse for hauling firewood, trailer, etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to travel a fair distance to purchase a truck too. Northeast preferably.

Thanks much.
Looking forward to participating in these forums - lots to learn.

Newbie

Hey everyone... Thanks for putting together a great forum.

I'm a complete noob and just pulled my first K5 out from the trees at a farm. It's going to be a project that my brother, dad, and I can work on. We lucked out and got it running, but it sounds like complete crap and barely moves after we aired up the tires.

I'm going to change the oil and spark plugs, pour in some sea foam, replace the carb fuel filter, air filter, and battery.

What else should I do for a barn fresh Blazer? I'm looking for tips since I'm learning as I go. Any help would be pleasant and I'll include some pics really soon of us putting it on the trailer.

mail
Thanks.

You prob. want to check & make sure the truck will stop once moving. All brake lines/hoses/wheel cylinders in rear/sticky front calipers, etc. should be looked at carefully.
Good luck.
