Introductions & Greetings

Im not into the whole introducing myself but hell here goes nothing:D. My names Nate. Im 20, and live in Milwaukee WI. I've always been a big K5 fan. Ive had plenty of Chevy trucks in the few yrs ive been able to have one. I finally picked up a 89 Blazer this Sept. Things a bit of a rust bucket BUT i do hope to get the thing semi restored asap. I have included myself in a few other forums dew to my third gen Firebird. So I do realize the forums are the BEST places to find out info and discussions that may help in the path to restoration. ;) Heres to yrs to come of learning and passing on knowledge from you experts.
Welcome, I also have an 89 blazer, that was a rustbucket :D You're going to love this site

Well. I hope so. :P Im just trying to get over the whole :No floor in the truck: thing. I need to figure out how much material i will need and i also need to find a good welder. I have welded but that was almost 7 yrs ago. when i was 13. NTM the Mountain list of things to repair asap. Im looking at taking my tax return and buying as much as i can for the truck. Just kinda sitting in a lump staring at a 2 page parts list. And thats only to get it back on the road driving. LOL.

Hi Everyone

Hey everyone my name is Matt and I live in the Denver Metro Area. I have a 1991 GMC Suburban 4X4 that I am just getting started on. I have owned it for close to 5 years now but the last 2 she just kinda sat parked while I played with my sports car. Well sold of the Sports car and i'm driving the burb again. Right now I am mostly going through it to get her running good again. I do have some big plans for her but i'll just have to see how much the budget allows. Matt

If the rust is that bad, you may be better off swapping the entire body, that's what I did. I just realized I was also about 20 years old when I bought my 89....scary

Yeah if you wanna see how bad the rust is ill be taking a couple pics today and placing them up on my cardomain. Link in my profile. Now this may seem like a stupid question but WHERE CAN I FIND A BODY?! I mean i spent over a month looking and can't find just a body. Well fiberglass but i don't have 6k to throw away for that. I mean money is a slight issue right now. I was thinking about picking up a M1009 from a gov site to replace the body with.

Hey...

Well, here goes.....just saying hello from the great white North.

In the process of purchasing a 79 Jimmy that is in decent condition (for now) and will be my winter plow truck/summer bush buggy/trail rig. I currently have a daily driver 98 SAS extended cab short box that will be riding on 40x15.50x20 Toyo's. I was going to post up all the pics n such but I guess I can't until I get some posts in...so I guess everyone will have to wait for pics.

Thanks,
Rob

Welcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck. :D
Hi all, My name is Jay and I'm from Seal Beach, CA. I have a 72 K5 that I've been working on for the last 5 years. I did a full frame off resto or should I say resto-mod. Picks Racing built me a 630hp big block backed by an Art Carr 400 and 205 case. A 14 bolt corp houses the 4:56 locker in the rear and a Dana 60 up front. The only thing stock here is the body(cherry) painted Ontario Orange(from a 72 Vette). I still have alot of things I want to do to it and it looks like this is the best place to get ideas and sugestions on how to do it.

Hello Everyone!

Hi everybody! I just got an 83 GMC Sierra Classic Jimmy. I like it alot, and I have a ton of stuff to research seeing as this is my first real 4x4 old school truck. (Like what the hell is a shackle flip? ). I hope to learn alot here as this seems like a really great website. Heck I may even cough up the money for a paid membership despite our jacked economy. I want you guys to know that I have already driven through all the uneven terrain in my front yard!
Since it wont let me post pics pics you can see my truck at www dot newdilemma dot com. (slick ain't I? lol) Second post down.
