Introductions & Greetings

Hey everyone, I just picked up a 1987 K5 over the weekend, I was looking for a pickup for the past couple months, but I decided on this blazer after I looked at it. It's very solid with minimal rust. Picked it up for $2300, had to drive almost two hours away to pick it up..

If anyone has any guesses about lift, please let me know, those are 33" tires

BAH, cant post pictures...I have a link to some pictures in my contact info of my profile

Haha, thanks, he actually took all the rebel flags :(

#1 priority is going to be fixing the rear window, he broke the glass and had it replaced, but it will not roll up all the way on its own. It will get about 1/4 of the way and it "hitches", and has to be helped the rest of the way. Some searching has revealed a lot of info on these windows, though. I'm glad for a resource like this site.

Hello,

Just checking in here! I've got a 1995 K2500 Suburban that I'm building as a camping/expedition vehicle.

I've already got a week long trip out to Colorado and Moab planned for June 7th, and will have plenty of pics to follow!

On a side note, why can I post in this thread, but not in any of the Suburban sub-forum threads? Also, I can't see any pics. When I click on one, I get this:

I took a look under my truck, it appears to have about a 4" block lift (rear), so theres one mystery solved... has the saggy butt too though, need to sort that out.

Hey Orange 85, where in Wisconsin are you. I'm about 60 miles North of Green Bay. Welcome aboard. I just got rid of my 83 Blazer so I can concentrate on my 82 K30. I have more use for a truck than a Blazer, even though I do love them.

Well, I finally started posting over here...

My name is Luey, I've been on the local NW forums for a number years and have used CK5 as a resource for about 3 years...

I have a '79 K5 and a '88 Crew Cab at the moment... The K5 has been my trail rig for the last 5 years and is currently going under the knife... The Crew Cab is in training to be the "tow rig"...

I've been a Chevy whore my whole life, you know the deal...:D I started wheeling with my dad back in the '70s... Got my first K5 a '74 in '89...

Just thought I'd post up my $0.02 for everyone's enjoyment...

Already started a build thread http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=254714&highlight=shackle+flip and I'll keep everyone updated...

Hey there, check the regional forum. There's going to be a little trip to Badlands offroad park early next month

I saw the post about the Badlands trip but i am not sure I will have wheels by then haha.

Just wanted to say hey. My rig is a K10 4x4 on 33" TSL's. Pretty tame, and I just got it running from sitting in a field for 2 years... Still needs some stuff(fuel pump, fuel cell, and all the leaks fixed...). Then on to 38"s if I can find some cheap, shackle flip, 52" fronts, you get the idea... Hit me if your in the Topeka area and need a hand.

Hey yall my name is Willie I am 24 and live in Roseburg OR. I have a 77 GMC Jimmy that I love. I have many plans for this rig and thought this would be a great place to share my adventure.
