New here. I joined to expand my knowledge. I just bought Xtremjeepn's 82' Crew Cab and I am hoping to complete his build. The truck arrived here yesterday and I am looking forward to having a bad@** DD/Weekend Warrior. I also have a 2000 Crew Cab Powerchoke that is a company vehicle. I will be switching off between the two.
My background:
I am from Conroe, Texas. I grew up riding 4-wheeler's down at San Jacinto River and Spring Creek. I got my first truck (1997 Chevy Z71 Ext. cab) and I immediately through on a 6" IFS suspension lift. I drove that for 6 years, and after my first deployment while in the Marine Corps (SEMPER FI) I sold it and bought a Nice clean new daily driver (2wd)
. I kept that and drove it until 3 months ago, when my wife convinced me that she needed a new vehicle. So I traded it in on a Yukon for her. Since she was happy, I gained some freedom to get myself a new toy... Xtremjeepn's Chevy fit the bill. I had always wanted to build an old squarebody Crew Cab short bed... and now I have one!!! I plan to start a new build thread of my own, and continue Cole's project. Thanks for a great start Cole!

but we'll see what I can come up with. Want something fun and cool and having an easily removable top (sounds like an ad on a dating website)
