Introductions & Greetings

just saying hi

new to ck5 making the introduction. Names James ,industrial prostitute (pipewelder) getting ready to get another k5

Hello, my name is Caleb I live in Middletown, Ohio I'm 18. I bought an 84 military blazer two years ago it was a rolling tub. No motor or tranny. Had a donor 87 k5 with a good running fuel injected 350 in it with a 700r4. Swapped the stock 10 bolts out for a set of 3/4 ton axles running 4:10 gears. The truck already had a 6inch lift on the front and stock suspension on the back. Built custom flip shackles for the rear lift about 5.5 inches. Still building it and needing help with motor wiring and vacuum. Thanks to everyone and I love reading the build threads and learning new things

Sounds great! Join up and post some pics!

Howdy. I've had chevy truck for years. My first truck was a 1970 chevy 3/4:D
I've grown tired of the endless sea of "beige-poser" vehicles. I'm now the proud owner of a 1969 Chevy Blazer. It took about a year of searching to find the right one. Its a driver & gives me something to tinker on.

Great site - an amazing resource :waytogo:

Hey everyone, John here I am on my third K5 in my life this one is a 77 sb350/th350/203 nothing special at the moment but for this area almost completely rust free 3rd owner previous had it for 23 years being garaged. Its faded doodoo brown repaint outside red diamond pattern recovered late model high backs inside with the full gauge cluster.

Have big plans for it and a stock pile of parts. Currently have tons 4:56 detroit rear lsd front, ord 4" front springs rear flip bilstein 5125's np205,(no doubler yet ord or nwf??) Warn m12000 and 5 recentered 12 bolt h1's and 37's.

Finely installing the lift this weekend and axles next will start a build thread with pics.

Rez Raider,..

Welcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck. :D

My name is Fred and I will be the legal owner of a '87 K5 Blazer here very soon, and it's been one of those estate deals to work thru to obtain it. Looking forward to taking care the bugs and beef it up some,...glad there's this site to share in the same interests',...

Hey, I've had my 1989 gmc jimmy in my garage for the past 5 years. I finally got the brake and fuel lines replaced, but I'm not sure I have them routed properly. If anyone lives within a 100 miles of Poughkeepsie with an 89 blazer/jimmy then I would appreciate if I could stop by to check how they are routed. Alternatively I'll post a video/pics and ask for guidance that way. I'm sure I took some pics myself but it's been that long that now I can't find them...so there's a lesson learned ;). Looking forward to resurrecting this beast!

Hey Guys, I finally decided to sign up as I've been lurking around for years now. I have a '94 FS Blazer that has had a lift with 35's for almost 10 years, but I've been following some builds on here trying to figure out how to tackle some bigger projects (SAS and 6.0L swap).
I'm located in VA, and it appears there's a few people from around here too. Feel free to hit me up for any more info.

-Chris

Thanks for the welcome. There's definitely no shortage of interest with items on this site.
I've been sitting back trying to learn from other peoples' experience on the SAS and the engine replacements.
I don't get to drive the truck as much as I'd like as work seems to take a lot of my day haha...... Gotta keep paying the bills though.

I have a question, Ihave a 2003 Chevy Blazer I can't get the key out of and can't get it to shut down it turns off the engine but will not shut down totally. Ihad to disconnect the battery last night anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome! However, you've posted this in the wrong area of the forum; come to think about it, you've posted on the wrong site! Our focus tends to dwindle after 1991 or so...

You might try another forum geared towards your truck and year. Ideas anyone?

You will get better response if you post this question in the garage section of this site
