Big Krusty
Newbie
My first vehicle, when I was 17, was a 1977 K5 Cheyenne 4x4, had a GM Performance 350, 350TH, single Flowmaster 40, sounded great. Broken transfer case. I've wanted to get my hands on another ever since I had to sell it. I've had a couple of Hondas since then, and my Civic is a good commuter, but I'm in the market again for another K5. This time a 69-72 4x4. I want to keep it stock height with 32s.
Big Krusty is the name my girlfriend at the time gave it.
If you could imagine being 17 and starting it up for the first time, driving it, smelling it, hearing the rumble, seeing the mirrors shake, it was a dream come true. The 9mpg is what didn't make sense when I went to college. Now I'm saving up for a fixer upper, and having a degree in Automotive Technology sure helps.
When I'm able to post a pic I will, I still have one. It was painted emerald green, had a white top, stock 31s.
