New From Missouri

Hello, I am an IT Specialist from Missouri. I got a 1971 Split Nose Camaro for a project for my oldest two kids, but have since decided to get rid of it and get a K5 Blazer. I have a deal in the works for one hopefully it goes through. The Blazer is a 1986 with a factory SM465. I am only looking for a Factory SM465 Blazer, as I am a stick shift junkie.

Hello from Central MA

Hello, my name is Brian and I'm from the central MA area. I have had a couple K5 Blazer/ Jimmy's, a few K10's and a K20 in the past and now I have a 1991 K5 Blazer stock and I just bought a 1990 2500 Suburban from GravelGuy in CA. I had the truck shipped all the way to the east coast last month and have been driving the snot out of it and loving it. It's a clean, rust-free CA truck with a 6" susp. lift and 36" tires. Looking forward to spending some time over here and getting some great info.
Thanks, Brian

Hello all! I have recently fallen in love with the old square body. I am looking for a suburban to learn on. I know how to do simple stuff but not much more than that. Currently have my eye on an 86 Burbank diesel. Once I get my hands on one I hope you will put up with my noobie questions, but never fear I know how to utilize the search function and Google. Lol

Its been too long...

I joined this site back in '99 when I was building up my '86 K5. Sadly I had to sell it in 2001 and after that I never really came back to the site. I just recently bought a 1990 K5 from southern Alabama so here I am and looking forward to getting into the mix once again! Even though I have been MIA from this site, I haven't quit my hobby of building/restoring vehicles so look for me on the forums in the future sharing my experiences.

Checking In

Hey all. My name is Jake and I'm up in the mountains of East Tennessee. Been a long time fan of the 67-72 trucks, especially the K5s. Finally pulled the trigger on a 71 Jimmy yesterday that I hauled home. I can't wait to jump in and get to tooling around on it. I owned an 89 Blazer not too long ago but got rid of it to help pay for school, so not a first time owner but still have a lot to learn about the 67-72 trucks. I'm also over on silveradoss.com...i own a 06 sierra vortec max with the lq9...so I'm reasonably familiar with the 99-06 trucks. Hopefully that'll help out some...interested in learning some more about a 5.3 4l60 swap and maybe doing one in the future...

Anyways, I'm looking forward to meeting new people and learning a lot of info. Seems to be a knowledgeable group on here with a lot of good info. I'll put up some pics as soon as I take some. Just pumped up to have one! :saweet:

Hey guys! My name is Nat and I live in Destin, FL. I don't actually own a K5 but I am in the market. I've had a couple of K10s in the past but I've always wanted a K5. Right now I just have a 2006 TrailBlazer SS. I am a Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force and even though I am from Destin I just transferred back here. I spent the last 2 1/2 years stationed in Utah and I gotta say I miss the Rockies. If anyone has any leads on some nice trucks for sale in the Southeast please let me know, I'm trying to keep my budget around $3000. There is one that I want here locally but I can talk the guy down to being in my price range. Also, if there's any other members in the area it would be awesome to get out and go wheeling once I get a truck.

Right now, the US Government through the private contractor at www.govliquidation.com has tons of military K5 Blazers with 6.2l diesel engines for sale. Most of them are in great shape. I got a few recently that are pretty much rust free. I am installing air conditioning and stereos in them. I drive one right now which has a 6 inch lift kit with 35" tall MTZ tires. Compared to most of the blazers that I have seen on the commercial market, mine is in much better shape. You can also find them being sold on eBay.
