Why '87 or '90? An '88 is almost identical to an '87. An '89 looks the same as a '90, but has a mechanical speedometer NP241. A '91 looks the same as a '90, but the 3/4 tons have the 4L80E.

I guess he has an 87 and a 90 already.

Hi all,
looking at rebuilding either an 87 or 90 suburban to drive the Colorado forest trails and possibly a trip to Alaska in 2016. not looking at building anything extreme, just something that can do some light off-road with the wife and two kids. any guidance is welcome.

Hey just wanted to join a group that loves k5's as much as I do. Had a 1985 K5 when I turned 16 and ended up selling it and have wanted one ever since. I am now on the hunt for one right now. I am looking for all factory and no lift.Yea I know it is a long shot. Thanks for the add.

have video's up of both trucks on youtube as well. I will admit I do not daily drive either one of them as I also have a built crew cab duramax that's just nice to be in lol BUT if I wanted to drive either of them daily I could and my 85 is tame enough for road trips even not so sure I would want to strap myself in the 75 for to long of a trip...guess if I had to the 75 is able and I would trust it just do not want to lol.
that ends a fewwww feet short of the ass end.
. it's beat to hell and dirty as ****.. but i wanted a project. the truck sounds awesome and runs great just needs body work and paint.
Hi guys im erik and im 16. I recently bought a k5 and It's the first vehicle that i paid for myself. k5's are my favorite suv, especially when lifted. got a 350 in it and 8 inches of lift sitting on 36" swampers which are getting low on tread. it's beat to hell and dirty as ****.. but i wanted a project. the truck sounds awesome and runs great just needs body work and paint.

hey guys, I'm Tom, I'm from Buffalo, NY and I just bought a pretty beat K5 that I'm hoping to fix up, then build for some trails. Its an 89 with 50,000 original miles, solid drivetrain and suspension, but the body is absolute ****. New rockers and floor pans a must, but fenders and **** are surprisingly good. 9" lift and bald ass 38s on it now.. theres a small body lift, and the rest is bigger leafs and a block in back. Owned by a city kid who liked the monster truck look but never wheeled it... big ass speakers in the trunk, and a dual exhaustthat ends a fewwww feet short of the ass end.
