New K5 Owner, New to the Forums. 86 K5
Hello all,
I wanted to stop in and say hello to the community. I am a recent addition to the K5 family, I bought my first one this week. It is my first purchase of a vehicle that would be considered classic by any description, so I apologize upfront if what I am posting or asking is a repeat topic. If so guidance to the threads that might shed light on my situation would be appreciated.
I have long been thinking of making the move to the pre-computer immersed vehicles we now know today. Having made the leap I know that I am in for numerous "lessons" and just as many new "experiences" in the future. I have only been surfing these forums for a few days and I can tell, it is gonna be quite a ride!
Anyhow, on to my rig and my questions.

I will include pictures as I figure out how to post them, and update this list as I learn more.
What I am interested in knowing, is that by my account of what I have purchased, this vehicle is very close to original. I have thought of updating the wheels, tires and suspension. Many people I have talked to since buying the rig have said that leaving it all original, has value. I jumped on this vehicle, because I could see the care that had been given this vehicle for years, and I did not want to get into something that was going to involve heavy restoration. I have been around long enough to know that in the end, doing what your gut tells you is a pretty solid course of action. I guess I just wanted to hear from the community any opinions of changing an all original vehicle from that state. Thanks.
