Introductions & Greetings

Hello everyone,

I am Sergio. Around a year I bought a 1980 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic 350 cid, mostly stock and sound - this is how I intend to keep it. This is a weekend cruiser/countryside transport, which my small family enjoys greatly.

I'll post some photos when I figure how to do it.

Hello all, just got another k5 afterm 12 long years, time to start another build.now to decide my direction with this one. Starting to lean towards track push truck.

Hello my name is Ray I live in Rupert Idaho have been out of the 4x4 world for a few years but recently acquired A 90 suburban that I want to upgrade for A hunting rig,I owned a 75 K5 several years ago and was looking to buy another until I found this sub way more room for gear,
I look forward to picking peoples brains for ideas and checking out the rides in the gallery

]Hi my name is James. I bought a 73 Blazer about a year ago and have been around the site but never posted anything. Right now is pretty much all stock with a 4 inch lift and 35's. It's a 350/465/205. It was my daily driver for the last year and now I'm starting in on fixing everything starting with rust. Luckily I'm in CA so rust isn't too bad just the usual spots. I also have a 77 Blazer that I bought for the running gear. It has a 14 bolt and 8 lug 44 with 4.56 gears. It has an ord shackle flip and other goodies that will eventually make it to my 73.

Hi, my name is Patrick and I live in Laurel, Montana. I recently bought a 1988 K5 Chevy Blazer. It's in good shape. It has a 4" lift, and it came with a set of "street" tires on some old chrome rims, and a set of super swampers on rallys. Also the engine was replaced with a 350 Vortec about 12,000 miles ago. I'm pretty happy with it.

87 GMC project

87 v1500. Slow process to restomod, with 4 kids that think they should eat all the time. I'm from Boaz, AL . Early 90's 350. 700r4 Rev man valve body☺. 2.5 lift springs front, 3" blocks rear with Rancho shocks. Where do I ask about bumpstop tech as a newbie???

Is it still TBI?

Welcome (all) to the club!

For tech questions, post up a thread in the Garage section of the forum. Also, pictures are good (since we can't see your truck in person). If you're going through a restomod, go ahead and start a build thread for the truck so we can follow your progress. Makes it much easier to figure out what's going on if you run into problems. And pictures are a good thing. ;)

And for Ryan, the forum reminds me that you've introduced yourself before. I got a smile out of your personal cliff notes, and I remember getting a smile the first time, too. :thumb:

Hey everybody! Just got my 1990 K5, and I am collecting parts now to do an LS swap. So far I have ordered the GMPP LS3 480hp crate, GM ECM and TCM. It will be backed by a 4L85e. Hope to find some good info from y'all on the swap, and any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thinking I may start a build thread.

Thanks!

welcome to the first noob of the new site format! make sure to post some pics... :)

How do I post pics? Keeps asking for a url

you'd need to host them on a site like photobucket (it's free), than copy/paste that URL into where it asks... gonna want to get something like that going if you're gonna do a build thread..

our old site/forum had a thing called "attachments" where you could just upload from your computer, but I don't think our new format has that..

Hello from Mississippi, first K5 purchase 2 weeks ago. 1988 Custom Deluxe, I bought it from an older gentleman who was the second owner, he bought it in '94 with a little over 40k miles. Still has the paper work from original purchase from dealer as well and his purchase in the glove box! Still working on getting it back on the road. several kinks to work out.
