@LLeff looks good in those pictures. You should take the time to do a build thread so that we can watch and offer advice when you want it.

Hi All! Just getting working on restore after acquire. 1990 K5 Scottsdale. 350 carb converted auto. Mostly stock except for 4" lift. Working to get it all sorted and not too far off.
Do need recommendations for rims. Running 15x8 American Racing with new BFG 33x12.5
Rims are shot, so looking to replace. Considering staying steel 15x8.
Advice on brand? When do you go to a 10" width?
Looking at the Pro-Comp 15x8.
Thanks and any help is appreciated.

Hey all,
Brand new to the site and thought I’d share what finally brought me here. First ride was a a ‘76 K20 w/a 400 small block. Never left Chevy since. Currently have a ‘65 Chevelle, an ‘04 Silverado HD2500 and the wife drives an ‘18 Suburban.

So...picked up this 74 Jimmy with major rust but clean title and the all important (for California residents) pre-smog. Seller couldn’t get it to start and I wound up towing it away for $300. Had a brand new “soft topper”, new tires, receipts for the brakes being re-done, new radiator and new shocks all the way around. It’s got a factory tach and a/c.Couldn’t lose right?!? Well that’s my thought. Threw a starter in and a fresh battery. Replaced the fusible links near the starter after finding them failed. But can’t get it to fire, crank or show any signs of life. Getting an ignition switch tomorrow but I’m showing 12 volts everywhere else I can think of....fusible links on the firewall are good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

You should start a new thread here in the garage. A lot more eyes will see it, you'll get more response.

Welcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck. :D
Hello fellow enthusiasts!
First post here.
I am a recreational restoration wrench with a few completed projects.
I need some help from you guys.
I currently have a 1975 full convertible restoration underway and need some help with suggestions on rear side panel replacement options. Seems that the square body replacement metal has all but dried up. I can go into detail here or follow suggestions to another thread but my limited posting ability here probably won’t permit it.
Anyhow just ask “what’s up” and I shall continue here if interested.

You should have access to the garage and body shop where you can create a thread/ask questions. And lots of people, pert near everyone here is interested in your resto of a '75.:waytogo:

Oh and we love pics too.

Just joined today. Starting to work on 1969 K5 that I have owned for 15 years. I want to put a 2" lift on for 33 x 12.5 x 15 Mud T/A. Wanted know the best place to get lift and what kind to buy? I have already put some pictures in the build section under FARMBOYTOY.

Welcome! This thread is basically the greetings thread so I would ask your lift question in the garage or first gen forum for more eyeballs on your post.

With that being said OffRoad Design has a lot of great options for that amount of lift.

Hi all I've been casually lurking for a long time and left for a while and now I'm back after purchasing an 89 blazer. It's in pretty good condition. Almost no rust anywhere.. however it needs new window seals, headlights etc. Anyway looking to learn alot and make my K5 even better.
