Introductions & Greetings

Looks to be solid... and you took the top off already, you don't mess around! :saweet:

Hello. My name is Tom, and I am from NY. Here is a pic of my '87 K5.

Thank you. I have never joined a forum regarding these vehicles before. I have a pretty stout obsession with both these and other chevy / gm variants of trucks. Looking forward to learning new things.

Hey everyone! My name is Jim and I'm new to the forum. I recently picked up a 77 Blazer project that is 90% complete. Previous owner came across his dream car and had to make a choice and needed this gone. I was told it was originally a California truck (always skeptical of comments like that) but judging by the condition I actually believe it. Quick specs are Freshly built 454, TH350/203 combo, 6" lift w/ Bilstien 5100's, Wilwood front brakes & brand new 35" tires & wheels. Need to finish the interior (came with most of the parts needed) and throw some paint on it.Also came with all of the original trim and front bumper in great condition. A few pics below

That would be my 70 Camaro that I picked up as a project a few years ago. completely gutted the car and built it up from scratch. it currently has a healthy 400 small block mated to a 6 speed manual trans .Full Hotchkis suspension all around. handles like its on rails. Very fun car to drive but it has gotten to the point that I rarely drive it unless its a perfect day out. That's one of the main reasons I picked up the blazer.

Thanks! The lift is a beast for sure. Aresco is a local company that services lifts near me and that is where I found the lift (used). I've been meaning to order a new set of Mohawk stickers for it but just haven't gotten around to it.

Nice. Which 6 speed?

Tremec T56. Was originally looking for a Magnum but couldn't find one for a decent price at the time. So far it has held up well though.
I had the same problem. They’re hard to find used, and certainly aren’t cheap. I ended up converting a swap meet TR6060 to a Magnum.

Welcome to our crew.

Name is Jonah. I stumbled across this forum from a group on Facebook. I'm located in Phoenix.

I have a 1987 K5. 2.5" lift on 35s. Definitely not pretty. It has some rock damage.
Locked front and rear with Yukon Zip Lockers and 3.73 Yukon Gears.
350 TBI 700r4
DIY4X aluminum dash with autometer gauges.
Cold AC.

Also for sale.

Greetings all, new to the forum, have had many square bodies. Just picked up an 84 k5, 350sbc, 35's, all the interior rust a man could ask for and it might as well not even have wiring cause it's all shot. But the body is decent motor is strong and the transmission shifts out strong. Starting points for the beginning is new a+ 21 fuse painless wiring harness, Yukon 4.56 gears, floor pans, rhino lined interior. That's the start. Future is is 1 ton axle swap and a Cummins 12v swap. I might stop there but then again do we ever stop? Anyways hello to all and if you are in Huntsville Alabama feel free to hmu.

Welcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck. :D
Didnt really know how or where to post this, new to site. I have had several K5 blazers and an old 1978 Jimmy, but my newest find is a 2 wheel drive Blazer badged K5 Cheyenne Edition, been in a barn for the last 21 years. In the process of going all thru it to make it a daily driver. Everyone I talk to says there is no such thing 2wd K5, but its all original one owner. with original Chevrolet window sticker and documents in glove box. Vin # CCL186F128474 Whats the truth??
