Introductions & Greetings

Hey guys! New member here from Houston, TX. I have loved these old Blazers from afar for years, and now that I have renovated my home I decided it was only natural to move on to another "renovation", which is the assembly of multiple '72 K5 Blazers from assorted pieces with the intention of selling off all but one complete version in hopes of said venture subsidizing the copious amounts of money I will ultimately be pouring into my own '72 out of this group!

So far, I picked up a '72 chassis, engine and tranny from Ft. Worth over Labor Day weekend + a '72 K5 Blazer and '71 GMC Jimmy from Lake Charles, LA this past weekend. Next weekend, I am driving from HTX to Northern Ohio with a buddy to pick up another "complete" '72 K5, a '72 K5 body, and a number of brand new sheet metal pieces.

Most Importantly (and I will post this in the general discussion also), does anyone in the Houston Texas area have both the knowledge, the time, and the willingness to take a look at what all I have brought back to start with to help me determine what is both salvageable and/or worthy of selling??? While I believe I can do a lot of the work for this project, I cannot claim to have a great understanding of many of these original parts and their associated value... so any and all guidance would be very much appreciated! I am more than happy to compensate said gracious individual for their time either monetarily, in ice cold adult beverages of their choice, or both!

Looking forward to learning more here and getting things started!

UPDATE: Got the other ~2 Blazers home yesterday and ready to start digging into things. My 3.5yr old daughter is already a huge fan, even in their current rust-bucket state :lol

Now to figure out how to get the white body off this trailer so I can get this 40' Gooseneck rental returned and out from in front of my house....

Welcome to CK5, stop in and say hello, this is a great place to make your first post and tell us a little about yourself/truck. :D
Hi I am new to this website and forum. I'm retired pilot, and drive a '84 K5 Custom 1/2 restored summit racing 330 hp 350 installed new last year, getting bodywork nearly completed. From Northern Nv., snow ski all season, flyfish, shooting sport easy access nearby, tye flies, play jazz guitar, reload ammo, not sitting in the rocker!
