:saweet: Badd Ass!

definately confirms my decision. i might have to buy the 10" wide wheels too, but i wanna try my 8's first.

what backspacing on the rims?

i think i'm gonna call the cliffs, explain the situation, and see if they would let me in with the 40's. if so, hands down, i'll do the ltb's. i really liked my 34 ltb's, so i'm sure the 40's would be sweet.

the badlands is far from me, and without a tow rig (yet), i'm not too comfortable beating the truck all day to face a 3 hour ride at closing time.

p.m. me if you want to check out my local spot. in calumet city, some pretty nice trails, deep mud, and free. here's a pic from tuesday. (ya, i was stuck pretty bad)

Fyi Your local spot is illegal . Just to let you know. And I wouldn't chance going there , and trespassing on somebody's property.:doah: Is it real worth abusing somebody's land? If you can send me the land owners phone number and me call and confirm . I will shut up but

I flippin hate my 41 inch iroks! My bald dry rotted, chunked, non balanced Michilin xl tires on chipped and beat up wheels rode better by FAR.

They have rode like sh!t from day 1, I have had them broke down and rebalanced, balanced with equal, checked by 4wp and tried multiple things.

Other than looking awesome I ****ing hate them and burn them off pretty much every time I think about it.. I absolutely hate taking it above 45mph, at 70 the truck feels like im sitting on a blender and girls start to get orgasmic in the passenger seat. I bought them simply based on the fact that they would be a great compromise for some street behavior compared to a tsl and that has not been the case. As a result I have put a whopping 2k miles on my truck since june! Ive got em burned more than half way off now and thats about the only pleasure I have got out of them.

They will be replaced with a 40 inch ltb, 42 inch tsl or a a toyo mt.

I have not been very impressed in the mud.

maybe I simply got a junk set, maybe they are square..Dunno but when my bias ply irok on my buggy ride better than my radials on my truck it pisses me off:mad:

I was told that the ltb will not hold up on our trucks by 4wp and to buy a more expensive tire.... how long do the ltb's last with the weight of our trucks ?????

the 16/40 ltb has a max load of 2535 per tire. that's over 10,000 lbs total, I'd imagine they'd be fine. my old 34" ltbs wore like iron, and you said you had good wear with your's.

How are the 40's holding up on your truck mtblazer89?

whoa buddy, don't you think you may be overreacting a bit? i don't really understand what you're trying to say, but IF we are refering to the same spot, you are the first person i've heard this from. "abusing someone's land" ??? were not talking about somebodys backyard here. lets not jump to conclusions. there are a lot of people that frequent this spot, usually flooded, unusable land, with a large number of existing trails. not to mention it's a sh*t neighborhood. the only reason law enforcement would have to go back there, would be if searching for a body. :draw:

this thread is about tires, if you'd like to talk about land use issues, please contact me outside of this thread.

I can't give you any tread wear info as my tires have about 100 miles on them and don't see much street.

They do ride pretty good for a bias ply. My only vibes are in the morning when they are cold, and they are out of balance around 35-40 MPH, but seem to be pretty good at 55-60.

I would take anything 4WP says with a grain of salt

My Problem is more that your advertising this spot by posting pictures. It isn't your land you don't know the owner , and just because it is unusable doesn't mean you should be able to tear up the property at your own discretion.I know it isn't somebodys backyard but if it was would it change your mind? Somebody who owns it would probabley appreciate if you didn't use it like your own. Trust me I love to wheel but losing my truck , being arrested and tickets prompt me to drive to Cliff's , Badlands , Falt Nasty , Hannibal Rocks etc... etc.. You should grow up and do the same. FYI I know you have mentioned the spot to others here , so it's just adding to the ammo to take more land away from the hobby that means so much to me.
