I know right now on the highway my truck pulls down 20+ mpg.
6.2, NV4500, 203/205, 4.56's, 6" Alcan's, and 39.5" TSL's. 22 mpg wouldn't surprise me on 37" Radials. With 37's and the gearing it wouldn't have any trouble on any of the hills either. In fact with the 39.5's I had to gear down for one hill between here and Moab Utah. Everything else was in top gear...
A 6.2 swap is pretty easy, not usually that spendy and IMO gets you the most bang for the buck. Power is decent to good, fuel mileage is great, and there is no carb, dist, or computer to worry about. They also excel off road IMO.
