If the trans in the first post is really a 4 speed with OD, could it be a 833 or whatever it is called?
Thats what I was thinking,the Mopar A833 one they used behind some 1/2 ton diesels ..but I thought they had external shift linkage,its been 10+ years since I saw one..mind is gettin fuzzy!..
that tranny is not a a833, those are side shift
Also the 833 were aluminum.....I tried to find pics of late model 465s, but only older ones. In this case it's not a 4500 so no big deal. I really don't need one, but 5th gear would be nice on the highway in my 84. Not that I really go on the highway much....

That looks like its it. Thats the top cover I'm needing for my s10 Blazer build. It moves the shifter back a few inches.
