Thanks...I don't have many tools or anybody to help and my back is out a lot....
Guess I better get a real clean one to begin with.

In AZ I have seen 100 percent rust free blazers for as little as free, most can be had with little to no rust for under 3k. The worse shape drivetrain or interior wise the price falls, the better..it goes up.

How can you find them? Is there any way to search for them online?

I don't know anybody in Arizona...

This one is top of the pile but here is an example

craigslist

and if you are serious, there are people here willing to help you out with checking on them or detailed pics. I can say you will have a much better chance at finding an 80's blazer in primo shape than one from the 70's though and at a better price.

OMG...look how clean the interior is...

How do you get someone to go look at a vehicle for you and maybe even act as a proxy or broker?

I could or others on here may offer. If you are serious i could go take a zillion pics, give my honest opinion on it and let you know.

If you then want it have your bank wire the funds to his, or a bank issued check from his bank, or go to his same bank branch he banks at and make a deposit in his account while someone is with him to collect the vehicle at the same time or go to the bank with him.

From there it just needs to get on the truck of a reliable shipper and headed your way.

Thank you...and I would be interested, but that one is a 1977...I want a 1973 or 1974.

If you see one of those please let me know. I have also heard that a lot of these shippers are scam artists as well.

I think Ill have to make a trip out west when I get done with school and start working full time again.

im so sick of dealing with rust and rust related issues

We have a lot of rust free ones up here in the northwest too (washington.) I picked up mine for 800 bucks and its practically rust free. I think anything on the west coast is pretty much the same way. I made a trip to New Hampshire where i was born and I couldnt believe how rusty all the cars were since I grew up in Arizona.

Plasti-Dip!

So I did something I've been wanting to do since I got this Blazer many years ago...paint the center section white! Well...I didn't paint it, I plasti-dipped it. Came out pretty good. I guess we'll see how long it lasts.

Haven't posted much since I really haven't done a whole lot to the Blazer (other than drive it!), but with the new plasti-dip, it's time for some updated pics! :waytogo:

I'd go ahead and make the permanent decision and have the center section painted. It looks very sharp like that, definitely not detracting from it at all...

I prefer the white stripe also....but I am biased

And have you ever considered adding a roll bar?

Aesthetically, the decision has been made, I just don't want to pay for it right now and I don't have the tools or experience to do it myself. :dunno::waytogo:

Also, if I'm going to do the full-on paint job, I'd have to deal with removing all the trim in order to get it done right.

Seeing your relatively recent pics were what made me decide to try the plasti-dip! Had to get that look...:waytogo:

Considered a roll bar, but it hasn't been at the top of my list I suppose.

It's a very balanced classic look, especially with the white wheels isn't it?

vinyl wrap it .

its the big thing these days for easy color changes or new style / design .

I am going to do it for my 2wd build to add the white in just like you have .

I have seen a few cars done by pro's and unless you get up close you cant tell its a wrap .
