Sooooo, I am picking up an 87 YJ tomorrow. I needed something a lot lighter to pull to the trails and that I would be able to pull with almost any modern suv or truck. When all is said and done, the YJ should weigh around 4k.

Here is what I will be running in the little guy...

Major Items I currently have:
1995 - 4.3 L L35 V6, CMFI, 191 hp (142 kW)/260 ft.lbf:pimp:
1995 - 4l60e (I will install a Transgo manual kit in it.)
Dana 60 front, full width, 5.13's, ARB
14 bolt ff rear, full width, 5.13's, Detroit
38.5x16x15 TSL's
Weld on Beadlocks's; rings cut by Kert(DIY4X)
Full Hydro setup from Rockstomper.
Radiator, fans, marine guages, 160ft if 2"x.120" HREW, and some other metals and doodad's.:D

Items on my to get list:

Stak 2 speed case; once I get the funds.
Waggy springs
Comfy seats
and all the other little crap to make it run.:doah:

Here is a pic of the little guy, cute ain't he. haha.:haha:

Oh, lookie! Its soooooo cute! Its so dainty, too!

so you you've finally crossed over huh.............

so how was brokeback mountian?????

just kiddin' sound like your going to give Chris a run for his money.......
you going to have that thing runnin' by spring???

I dunno if you're gonna get in at 4000 lbs with that drivetrain list. My buddy has a 94 YJ and with a few trail tools in it it tipped the scales at 4000 even...and it still had the 235/75 R15's on aluminum rims, no lift, basically stock. Hardtop was on though, but no winch or extra cage tube...

I hate it when you see all these little jeeps around with those little stickers that say it's a jeep thing you wouldn't understand. Especialy when they put it on upside down, and the jeeps are spotless!!!

JEEP IT'S WHAT'S FOR DINNER.

:k5: GIVE ME A FULL-SIZE ANY DAY :k5:

Ya' know where just givin' ya' trouble.:wink1:

Bronco!

There's always time to swap the Jeep for a 66-77 Bronco, if you have to get multi-cultural. Nice ones are getting a little pricey though.

hahaha thats great, theres a few of ya die hard chevy guys that would still be stuck if it wasnt for this lil jeep..... lol and did i mention it has 31's... blahahahahaha. what ya think "BEN"....:haha:

cool, i guess the difference between the jeep and the fullsize is in a small jeep no matter where u are u can find a hard line or something hard. in a full size its harder to find hard lines and obstacles. i mean 4cyl vs 388/350/454 31's vs 35/40/44's..... alot of parks around here the full size is to wide and alot have a tire restriction size because they cater to the jeep/atv guys.

they both have their advantages, (jeep/chevy) but most guys keep their jeeps cause their narrow and light and can go farther/flex a tad better than a silverado/burb/whatever.

yeah i wish i had a full size, but for the mud bogg/ tow rig only. im going to keep my lil jeep on 31's so i can have a fun challenging time anywhere, plus i dont know what jason/ben/jayson would do with out the official..... just read the hood.....lol....  :p: :D :doah: :haha:

ok i just poured the gas let the flame begin.......:p: :haha:

hehehehe hey beast388 ya like that..lol -cj

Seems like a lot of axle for a 4.3, have you considered a set of 44's front and rear, or do you have the 1 tons already?
I'm with ya on this one, I don't know why everyone cant stop comparing a Jeep to a fullsize. Thats like comparing Fords to Chevys.
