It's a Jeep thing, I did not understand

while I do agree that wheeling alone away from walking distance from help is asking for trouble, but just because he has a Jeep your bashing him?
I've seen plenty of other trucks stuck too. It boils down to the driver of the vehicle, and if he's only had it a month, he probably don't know to much about off roading.....hey we all had to learn sometime, he just didn't use good judgement in going by himself, or learning much about it before going out.

Definitely a Noob....but really, he's a brother in off-roading. You did the right thing by helping him out, but he's probably also eager to learn, especially from experienced people as your group.

I was bashing him because he said it never was stuck before. Then he only owned it for a month. His attitude was that only a Jeep could get in there to get him out. We almost left him. If his wife wasn't so nice, we would have walked away.

Glad you helped a fellow wheeler out noob or not .Maybe he learned from his mistake.
Jeeps are capable vehicles no doubt, but its the whole I've got a jeep thing that pisses me off . I get so fed up with some of these guys with their "its a jeep thing". Most of these people don't know what the offroading sport is all about. Sorry about the rambling but thats what came to mind when i heard the word jeep

I got the Jeep thing they always talk about....now it hurts when I pee:doah:

Anyone who really wheels will tell you it doesnt matter what you build as long as its built well and the driver has a head that isnt solid.

As for wheeling alone (1 rig) I am guilty of that quite often. Most of my friends anymore have nice newer rides they dont want to abuse. So we often take mine. NOW even I have the yukon and dont like to wheel it but I do sometimes.

I was going to have a sticker for my windshield made up kinda like that. "I got your jeep thing, now it burns when I pee!":D. Funny how us full sizers think alike. I bet somebody would make a killing off those! I too, am guilty of wheeling alone.
