I love those tires........but i think Cooper Tires makes those also.

I love my BFG's now..........I had Dick Cepeks and they wore out fast, but did better in the rain......Really Soft Rubber....gone in 17,000 miles, even though they had a 50,000 mile warranty

I can run a search , but pretty sure...here

The list of innovations from Mickey Thompson Performance has grown along with the company. Cooper Tire & Rubber Company's purchase of Mickey Thompson Tires in 2003

I guess I will have to have my dad check out his Discoverers for his Dodge. I know he paid way more than I paid for my X/T's, so this would really have him fit to be tied. Especially so close to the deer hunt, which is why he has the tires.

Doesn't the upside down truck in the picture have 4 intact tires on it?

What? Miss Low-Slung-but-Well-Hung? :haha::haha:

Yes, I too doubt that wreck had much to do with tires but the links to the NHTSA and safercar.gov are good to have;)

They appear to be intact, can't see the sidewall, but if you want i can take a picture of the other side for ya:haha:

Maybe that's his wife posing for the picture. :)
Nope, looks like a mother in law to me

Glad to be of some help.

I'm researching to buy new tires and they are falling between GOODYEARS and BFG's

Design technology called "The Wedge" that prevents tread separation. Goodyear came up with the design and noticed a significant reduction in tread separation occurrences and decided to share the technology with other tire makers in an effort to make all tires more safe.

I still can't see why employees would let these things slide, I read the two stories. If I saw this crap I would climb a letter till someone cared..if no one did I would find a soap box. They are f-ing Hippocrates to call out a company and say such bad things and not make a real effort to combat or not be part of the problem

I wonder if they have actually fixed the problems. My tires aren't on the recall, but they are made by Cooper. I have always felt that they had a good reputation and I bought mine after my dad picked up his Coopers. The problem is that they manufacture so many brands of tires, there is really no way to know until you look at the codes on the sidewall. And because the code is on the black side, most people never even see it because they put the white out.

here is a tire I took off my work truck last summer. Couldn't hardly see it since it was on the inside of the tire

What the hell, that's funny.

Could you imagine pulling up a at a stop light where there are 2 hot girls only to have them laugh at your tire bulge

thanks for sharing

Oh BTW, i'm told that this doesn't happen to Goodyear tires as they have some type of new WEDGE technology
