Fixed a few things on the manche. My oldest named it crawsome. Half crap. Half awesome.
Wipers linkage keeps popping apart. Brakes are iffy at best. Found the drag link nut at the axle was 3 turns loose. Track bar jam nut loose. Not much upper arm bushing left. Starter falling out. Battery cables loose.
I got most of that fixed. Waiting for the bushings. Got a new used wiper transmission to install.
It drives 150% better than the short armed wrangler. Dead straight even when there was 1/2 a turn of play in the steering wheel. Even better now that the steering is tight-ish.
I have to keep a firm grip on the wheel in the wrangler on I205. Those ruts just throw it around. The manche is almost car like comparatively
Put some new pads, rotors, bearings, caliper bushings on crawsome. Adjusted the rear brakes. Stops better. I have already put 800 miles on it.
I rebuilt the rear diff awhile back because the rear axle seals leaked really bad and it ran the diff out of oil. Fast forward to now, the shoes are still coated in oil. I cleaned it up but I'm sure some new ones would help out a lot. At least it's not scary any more though.
When it snowed I locked the hubs, but the drivers side unlocks itself while driving. Turns out it was missing the snap ring on the end of the shaft. I put a new one on. Haven't tried it out yet though. Going wheeling on the 29th. Find out then.
Also I ended up with 2 ipd turbo cams for the volvo. So I sold them and got a RSI .490" lift cam (big). I figured it would work better with the bigger displacement.
I wanted to take the manche, but I don't have a spare and i needed 3 seats. Im ordering 37s as soon as I decide which ones I want. Or I will order new 35s for the lj. And put the 37s off it it onto the manche. Not sure yet
New exhaust on the volvo. No muffler. Just 2 1/4 out the side
New exhaust on the LJ. broke a baffle in the flow master. So I got a new one and a short tail so it won't get smashed like the old one was.
Picked up a yoshifab cas adapter and a sensor. It's a cam and crank sensor for megasquirt. Drops into the stock distributer hole in the volvo. Clean clear signal to run sequential and individual coils.
Oh. I totally forgot. I bought another pos A couple months ago now. Still don't have any pics of it. But it's white. Has 4 wheels. And gets 30mpg. No more fuel stops every other day
