JT monster truck

Ok guys I burned the midnight oil on Friday and got a lot done. Sorry I'll have to take more pics this week and it should be rolling and driving by Friday.
I've burned in the rest of the brackets, and set the caster for ride height. I have to burn in all the control arms and cycle it one more time to make sure that is good. Then the last things are clearance for the steering and trackbar at bump.

Some people do that because of rear driveline vibration, problem is it's worse for the front driveline.

This is awesome! I would love to do this setup to my duramax for a SAS some day. Why did you leave the stock bumpstop and bracket? You should come up with a way to do coil springs with this for those of us too cheap for coilovers. Cage Offroad used to offer a SAS kit for the 88-newer chevys just like this but with coilsprings.

The bumpstops bracket is the perfect reference to jig this up on both sides. Since most trucks still have them it makes the build a little easier. We still check to make sure the wheel is centered and there is no clearance issues at bump.
One interesting point I found out last night. At bump the wheel is centered in the wheel well because the radius arm is level, which would be its longest point, at ride height it's only 1/2 inch back in the wheel well and at droop it's about an inch from center. That's very little change through 14 inches of travel. I pretty damn proud of that.

We'll be making a bump stop bracket that allows us to strike the top link bracket with hydro bump or a poly bump. We're using 2 inch tube with a plate on the bottom to create a poor mans bump stop, we think this is a nice deal because at any point you can upgrade to hydro bumps when you have the money and there is zero fab required to add it.

The durmax coilover idea is good, it's not the first time someone asked for that.

And the return on performance with coils is really hard to swing because there is not as much space on every truck, that would be really freaking hard on a Dana 60.
I'll have to think about that.

That coil over isn't gonna hit the steering shaft at full compression/ full droop? Looks real close.

Nothing hits anything at droop or bump.

Guess its just the angle of the pic, and i'm worried about my setup hitting and I have less angle outboard on my shocks. I set them up at 88 degrees, and its about 2" away from the steering shaft. When it is full bump on passenger and full droop on driver is the scenario I envision it hitting.

You also have a d60 which is 4 inches narrower than a d44. Apples to oranges.
