JUMPPR's '75 Blazer-con build

My hope/plan is to do away with the rockers and the support box structure under the seat and replace it with heavier steel that will double as a slider. I'll also be tying it into the frame with bushing mounts.

I got my Doubler piece from Jeds last week. Now I've got to get my NP205 case machined for the larger 90mm/32-spline input and I'll be ready to start bolting stuff together. I'm looking for a NP203/TH400 32 spline input gear if anyone has one also.

I'm going to re-use the front hangers for my 52" springs. Does anyone see a problem with welding those hanger pieces together for added strength or am I over-killing?

Probably not needed but I don't see any harm doing it. I've seen it done before....

How much did that adapter run you?

I would weld it to the body mount just for fun, then bolt it to the frame of course.

The adapter was $540 and that included the machine work on the original shaft. I would recommend Jeds only if you're not in a hurry. I sent my shaft off to him back in November. He claimed to have a lot of other higher paying work to do and he wasn't really doing the doublers that much anymore. I wasn't in any hurry so it didn't matter to me how much time it took him to make it.

Still moving.....ever so slowly, but surely! Hopefully this weekend I'm going to place my order for some DIY hardware for the front springs. I was going to reuse the old stock stuff, but figured I'd be better off upgrading to newer and stronger stuff.

Got my almost 9yr old out there today to help a little cleaning up the frame. I'll post some finished pics hopefully by Monday afternoon.

I bought my B-52s, front shackle eye mounts, and frame repair piece for the steering box.

IMG_2015.JPG IMG_2019.JPG Been a while since I've been able to do any work. I sold my 10-bolt and got it out of my way. I started tearing apart my Dana 60 today. I got one hub off before it got dark.

Weld the snot out of them. My truck is a '79 so our frame rails are the same and when you move the spring mount portion forward things will not bolt up at the front.

I cut them up a little bit, welded in some steel plate and drill some holes, the pieces are held together with bolts also.
