Sorry to hear about the layoff.
Sheet metal breaks are super handy to have. I use my swag break all the time.

I have these braces to strengthen it.I had two stock crossmembers and decided to cut & weld them together to make it longer.
So far it’ll support the weight, but we’ll see how good it does once it’s driving. I’m going to fab up a second brace for the passenger side of the 205 also.

He welded the ends, that can have a weakness. My NP203/NP205 doubler has been supported by nothing but a factory crossmember since I bought it. People overthink the crossmembers.

Appreciate it! I’ve never seen those. If I’m picturing how they attach correctly, they would probably fall in the wrong place to strengthen the area.I have these braces to strengthen it.
They attach it to the top of the frame.

They bolt to the wholes you have close to the weld and go at an angle up to the top of the frame.Appreciate it! I’ve never seen those. If I’m picturing how they attach correctly, they would probably fall in the wrong place to strengthen the area.
