Just bought a CUCV for $625.

Nope. The only other 6.2 I have runs. Most of the 6.2 trucks around here have been converted to gas burners.

Awesome link! I'm swapping a 6.0 into my M1008 and will convert to 12 at the same time.

Am I the only one who isn't eager to rip his 6.2 engine out? It's getting kinda lonely over here in the club for folks who actually like diesel engines. :dunno:

I used to be eager to. Now, I'm just apathetic enough to just live with it. I guess that's an improvement.

I keep my 6.2's for a few reasons..

One..they both still run!..despite me doing my best to ruin them by running used car oil in the crankcase, plowing like the truck is a D8 Cat,etc..

Two..carbed V8's are dam near extinct here..so are all the straight sixes..:(
I wouldn't be able to find a good one for under 700+ bucks probably..
Plus I'm getting too old to be swapping engines like I used too..

Three...I'll have to admit it's fun "smogging out" a tailgater...:D

Four...Despite my lack of enthusiasm for them sometimes, they seem to be considered quite "unique" by many I come across..hardly a fill up goes by where some guy walks by and says "hey,is that a DIESEL" ?..
(my response is "it better be,i'm filling the tank with diesel!)...then they go on to ask "was that a factory option, how does it pull,etc"..

No one has offered me more than I paid for it yet though..

It has sat for four years. I think I am going to cut it up. Anyone want the remains? I mainly just want the axles.
