JUST BOUGHT A CUCV, pg 2!

I have to concur also not worth it. They average around $4800.00 Top at $6,000 if perfect and that one is not worth 6K.

definately not worth 6k.............

look at all the over spray spots on it, underneath. theres overspray everywhere.

slapshot paint job doesn't make it worth more. its still an '84 blazer.

He's also either lying or confused as he has specs titled for the M1009 Blazer but clearly lists the 4.56 geared 1 ton axles of a M1008 K30.

No. That's a $2000 or so nice shape M1009 with a white paint job that isn't finished and some stupid **** bolted on to it. $40 worth of lights and a stupid rack on the roof (hope it was installed right...there's all kinds of ways to do it wrong) and your spare WAY UP HIGH AT THE TOP OF THE VEHICLE.

It's a diesel K5 with no interior to speak of, minimal options, no OD, and oh yeah, NO SOUND DEADENING!
SKIP.

I could see maybe $3k. Maybe. It does have the J-code 6.2L and might actually have the 51k he states and not 151k...although they have been known to have very high hours. Also manual everything so no power windows and locks to fail.
Still not worth 5 or 6k.

Looks good enough.

Check for leaks and stuff. Watch the tail pipes when you start it up. The military lets them idle a lot in the motor pool so it's common for them to have low miles but high hours. Not always a horrible thing but Big Ugly doesn't run like 55k says it should.

Lol, oh I know.... I spent 5 years mechanized. I know damn near everything to look for on these trucks.

The lister says Dana 60, 14 bolt. look at the pictures, is he correct? looks like the stock 10 blt front and back to me.

The lister on ebay is nuts, I bet the bid never goes above 2500 bucks if it moves any from where it is now.

And yes he is wrong they are 10 bolts front and rear NOT a 60 and a 14 b.

To the OP the one on craigslist is a way better deal

Of course if you are willing to spend 6k on one I would be seriously looking for a blazer with one tons and lift and lots of other stuff done to it

The plan is to buy that diesel, swap the one tons from my 74 into it, and everything else that i want, then part out the 74. Anyone looking for a nice 74 body with soft top and line-x interior?

There is another one on ebay now. It is a civilian model with 8 lugs, blue paint, power stuff. Its out of san diego and looks clean. Its also half the price!!goodluck

Just bought it!

Just got home with this

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/1505803392.html

After everything was said and done i walked out the door with $2600 less cash. The truck is straight, and runs great. I am stoked! So now I am officially going to part the 74 out. Pulling the one tons and putting them in the CUCV, swapping the 38's for some new 35's. You guys think 35's with 4:56 gears will be ok with a diesel? The trans is a TH400.

wow, 2600 and no 1 tons?

ya'll spend more on rigs than I ever would. Ive never owned a CUCV blazer, but I dont see the appeal over a civvy version. and a civvy diesel sells around here for 2000 or less.

im into my CC 3k...

Well the one tons are waiting at home:-) And the 2600 was a really good price. Everything around here has been going around 3k. And the civilian ones are usually trashed and not maintained. This one at least has the log book in it, and being a former wrench myself, I can assume it was at least somewhat regularly maintained, even if it was against the will of the soldier:-)
