Just bought a new gmc sierra! *trip report post 247*

You need to go over to GMFullsize.com so many people with trucks exactly like yours.

Im over there a little. There just is a lot less "structure" over there. And besides, this is my home.

Very true, a lot of noobs looking for how to do cosmetic stuff, and not nearly as much tech as here. But that's going to be any newer car forum until the factory warranties expire :screwy:

I have the 2.5 level on mine with 276/65/18s. The only thing I want to change is the tires. The level kit itself is perfect to me but if you don't want to do that I recommend a 2". Or get a set of bilstein 5100s and you can adjust it yourself.

I think imma do this one.

Nice! I cant wait! That, the air dam removed, running boards removed, z71 decal removed, and some new tires and i think i would be pretty dialed in!

I have the ready lift on mine, no complaints and it has held up to a ton of abuse....

I ran it through this...

Yes that is my inner fender I ripped off.... I have 285-75-17's with after market xd wheels. and have jumped this truck and never made contact.

The only thing negative is the front rides a little stiff but I'm sure you wont be bothered by that being a square body owner.

Im really hoping with the 1.5" it wont ride much stiffer than it does now. But in reality, the front is a bit on the soft side.

With a 1.5" level you should be just fine! If you don't want to f-with lifting up the front, you should have 1.25" blocks in the rear, could always take those out.

I had the 2" Rough Country level...not a terrible ride, it makes NO difference unless you chage springs in the ride. The ONLY difference would be bouncing off the metal bump stops on rebound...which is what feels like a stiffer ride. I HATED that aspect of the level kit...which is why I ended up going with a full suspension system.

Body lifts are also an option for the GMT900s

my boss has a 08 denali crew cab 1500 .

he has a level kit in the front i think 2" was in there before i worked there. he wanted the ass up level or just past to give it that truck rake again . so i added a 1" zero rate to the rear .

he is running stock rims and 2011 3500 tire take off's he got from a friend that did a lift and changed tire size .

i will get you pic's and post mon or tusday .

Just a little bit of lighting...maybe a softbox and that would have been a great shot. It's still a real nice shot...

didn't know you lived near the beach...seems like everyone does except me...and I am the police chief of Shark City

Thanks chief! I like that one too. Yea im about 2 hours from the beach. Its nice living in portland because your 2 hours to the beach, and less than 2 hours to timberline lodge which has (iirc) year round skiing.
