Justin V's daily junk

Finally got my motor mounts in...

I just can't figure why GM made them so hard to change. I have all of the suspension out of the way and and it still took close to a full day just to swap them and the trans mount. On a more positive note, Energy Suspension greatly improved access to bolts with their mount design. The new oil cooler lines that I have had hanging on the wall for 3+ years finally got installed too.

Dude they SUCK! 10 hours is an exaggeration but I would say definitely 6...

My all time favorite jobs to do when I was getting paid flat rape... errrr I mean flat rate we’re Honda cv shafts and clutches in 90s Ford festivas. I don’t remember what the cv shafts called for but iirc it was around two hours but if you didn’t follow the book you could knock one out in 10-15 minutes. The clutch job was about an hour job start to finish with a test drive and I think it calls for 4 hours. Transmission in my 07 dodge was awesome too @ 3 hours from the time I drove it in the garage to the time I parked it in the driveway... but it actually cost me about $5500... so really I haven’t ever made any money working on stuff?

This one is killing me though... it has taken me almost two years to fix a leaky valve cover.

Zip ties are close to being as useful as duct tape!

They work! When you smack putter joint down zip tie slides on the shaft don't even need to cut it off, does not hurt a thing!
