No, this is not possible. They used an A/C clutch hooked up to the front. It didn't really work. They discussed this a while back concerning the car from Mad Max

The Last Starfighter, cheesy 80s sci-fi flick, had a sweet bright red K10 all 80s'd out with the chrome roll bar w/lights and chrome grille guard, lift and chrome wheels w/maybe 33s. Got blown up at the end.
