If you don't get enough heat, can you drill and tap the back corner of the intake for a port? Or can you put one of the temp sensors in one of the heads?

As far as heat goes, the factory setup on the TBI motors runs the passenger rear intake port to the heater. ECM temp sensor is in the front of the intake manifold (passenger side), and the Gauge temp sensor is in the drivers side head (block?) between the front 2 cylinders.
Not sure if you have all those ports, but it seems to work for the factory setup.

Damn Avery! Your truck has seriously gone from a mall crawler to an inspiration!
Been busy since Friday night. I made another aluminum panel to take up the gap between the top tube of the dash and the firewall. It was kind of a last minute deal because the glass guy came this morning and we decided it would be easier to do with the glass out.
So we got that done along with the defroster vents and duct work for the regular vents as well.
The glass guy was here for a while this morning and put a new windshield in my Dodge, a new windshield in the K10 and installed my back slider I got off of chevysmithz71. Really cool guy and he did an absolutely fantastic job.
The wiring inside is basically done, nothing left hanging down under the middle like before. Tested the fuel injection now that it's wired like it's going to be permanently and it fires up and runs like a champ.
I started on the wiring for the gauge panel and then stopped to get the wheels swapped over before the tire place closed. They swapped the tires off the old wheels and put the back sidewall over and left it like that so I could bolt the front down.
I'm going to finish the other two wheels tomorrow, burn in the front A-pillar under body cage supports (didn't want to do that weeks ago because I was afraid they might rub but they're good now that I threw a tire on) and it'll be time to shove it outside tomorrow night!

I love every aspect of this build.
Everyone already said it! 
Started right after church and got the other two beadlocks knocked out. Time consuming but it wasn't too much of a headache.
Next since I had the wheels/tires finalized and I knew they wouldn't hit my tube at the back of the fender I burned it all in on both sides...
Next I made a shifter mount that I forgot to take pics of when I did it so I took one in the dark tonight. It's basic and looks funky but with the seats in it positions it in a really comfy spot beside me. One bummer though is the cable is too short so I guess I have to get a longer one before I take it to the tranny shop this week.
Then we shoved it outside!!!
Cleaned up the garage a bit and got the doors on since it's outside now. I'm going to try and squeeze in some half doors before our trip at the end of the month but if not I'll just yank them and go doorless.
So on the agenda this week is finish the gauge panel and get it installed. Put the seats/harnesses back in and get the trans shifter and new TV cable squared away. Then it'll be little nit picky stuff from there on out.

No but I'll go check it out sometime. I'm going to finish the front of the truck (tube and taper) which will mean fender work after this summer is over. I just want to wheel it for now.
Not much but I messed with the back slider latch (broke screws, long story) then tossed the seats and harnesses back in the truck tonight. It's cozy but quite comfy once you get in it.
