K10: Built HP60/241-205 Doubler/tons of tube

Don't even mess with carbs! The install was really easy and I couldn't be happier.

Agreed, I value my time to some degree. The kit from AFI is just under $1,000 taxed and delivered and it's awesome. All new sensors and fuel pump, all new wiring harness, flashed computer for your specific setup, rebuilt throttle body, adapter plate and every last little nickle and dime eating part you could ever need.

Plus it's probably got some kind of warrantee and tech support too. Man you can't beat that. If I were building up a new engine, I would definately consider going that route.

Did you go with a baffled fuel tank/cell or just run what you had?

It's a non baffled rci fuel cell. It sloshes around a lot (you can see it in the fuel gauge) but the foot print is really small and the draw straw is very close to the bottom so it doesn't have any problems even when you get low on fuel.

So have you done anything else or is this build officially complete now?

:sign16:

I put some vision x rock lights on and stripped a few t-case to trans adapter bolts. :D

I'm going to get it through a snow trip in a couple weeks and a dune trip for new years then I'll tear the doubler out and fix it permanent.
I'm also working on some softer springs up front.

Okay. I figured you had been out wheeling and enjoying the fruits of your hard labor over the summer. Just wanted to make sure you hadn't sold it or anything drastic like that. :D Enjoy your trips and keep us posted!

I can't remember, what rear springs are you using and how are they holding up / are you happy with them?

57" Ford springs out of an early 90's half ton. They're holding up great and flex really well.

Are you going to use your old stock rear springs?
