?? Get it open yet
?

I'm thinking of doing the same thing with mine. I have a set of door skins I might use over the tube workI'm thinking of ditching the doors and running some tube across there and welding some plate on the lower part but I'm not sure how quick I'd get tired of climbing through that.
That's basically how it's done on my truck, pics are in my build thread. The cab corners were a little rotted out and my bro cut the corner out, then replaced it with 1/8" steel plate. We are thinking of adding an additional 1/8" plate to the side onlyso just an observation that I have had as the stuff I wheeled got harder and harder.
The doors more towards the rear part take a beating. The really unfortunate part of that is that the b pillar of the truck takes a beating too and usually enough of a beating that it is never the same you never put your doors back on and you remove your cab.
So if planning on keeping the cab I would plate the b pillar area up to about window height. It doesn't take much 1/8 might even do it plate it on the side and back around the backside of the cab. This will at least keep your B pillar straight enough to put the doors on and off when you want.
Nice pics Avery.
