The ones on my Blazer are painted. Did them a number of years ago. They need to be done again. Think I used bumper paint.

No, I don't. Mine came with plastic ones when I bought it and I have never seen a set that were good that weren't waaaay out of my range...particularly right now. There is one on ebay right now that is $400 for one and it doesn't have the black ring stripe. If I got an NOS set it would have to have the black stripe because I don't think I'd be willing to paint on an NOS piece.
ok...I am done with them, time to let them dry overnight and then speck fix with a tiny paintbrush. Overall, I am ok with how they look.
Taped for paint. Two coats of plastic adhesion promoter:

Yes they are pot metal, I think I have a couple decent ones. Probably not good enough for you. But they are above average. If your interested.

30 minutes later...tape off:
I've got to touch up and fix the corners, that was hard to tape. The inside perimeter got a perfect soft edge because of the tape overhang.
Tomorrow we see what they look like on the Blazer
