My preferance is a GM product but Ford has offered some great stuff in the Bronco's as well .
C6's are very common
351's and real port fuel injection instead of a modified carb
injected the old in-line motor
high pinion front axles
boxed front section of frames ( pre 1980 )
Great looks !
The old Bronco's ( 1966 to 1977 ) were a hell of a lot of fun off road !
I can remember screaming like a little girl from so much fun in a 1971 Bronco with a stock 302 but I just can't seem to get that same excitment in my 305 powered 1985 Blazer. Before anyone screams that is not comparing the same trucks my point is that GM has delivered some crappy combinations too.
Both have good and bad points but they BOTH can be built to wheel extremely well - I just believe that a GM product left me with more options and easier to find parts , so that is what I wheel in.
