1983 c10, 305 4 barrel, 700r4, 2wd. Its a tan/goldish color (same as my camaro). 87k original miles, no rust, dent in the door. Its a silverado, assume it has ac and powerwindows/locks because of that. Rally wheels with new tires, been sitting a year since it had tires put on. What do you think its worth?

What kills it to me is 2wd, and longbed,2wd shortbed nice, 4wd longbed nice, or even a 3/4 ton 2wd, but longbed halfton aint good for much, dads wondering what its worth.

No picutres, but dad says it looks really nice, no scratches in paint, no scratches in tailgate even. Evidently he wants me to drive it instead of my 77, she is getting higher mileage and its getting some blowby.

dad talked with his buddy said you could only get a 4x4 in a half ton or a 3/4 ton, but not a half. I know for a long time you couldnt get a 350 in a camaro or a monte also.

Funny thing is, this truck has the same motor as my 80 camaro and moms 84 monte more or less lol.

hey kansas have you done anything to the white truck lately ......i herculined the whole inside of my blazer ......also repainted my center console turned out really good , do you know where i could find the tool to take off my top ....the torq bit with a hole in it ???

No ii haven't got anything done with whitey. That bit sounds like a standard tamper proof I would check sears.

I'm going up with dad tonight to check out the truck. Will post pics when I'm home

Pics as promised. This truck is clean now! not a lick of typical rust. Interiors mint, little sunfading on plastics and the paint. Amazing what one year can do. But up until a year ago its been in a garage its whole life. All original to boot. only downfall is the driver side caliper is sticking, probably just a hose, gonna try to get it for 1500. This truck is absolutely rust free, wish it was a 4x4 with a 350 though.

you could always make it 4wd. there's a couple threads on here about the conversion.

Thinking about doing that to my 77 actually if i retire it and start driving this, although id throw a 4x4 frame under it since the front horns are bent, and if money allows and i restore it, id love to do a 6.0/4l80e with a divorced 205 with cable shifters, i think it would be neat, that or electronic selectors. This trucks as my dad puts it "Something nice, low mileage that if my truck breaks down in i can just hop in and go".

Old blues getting blowby :( cam may be flat as well, just dont run right anymore and i havent checked it out yet. Shes gave me four years of good service, and being my frist truck, i wanna keep her around.

Its got everything but positraction. has pw pl cab corner speakers, ac, cruise, tilt, am/fm radio, dual tanks. Its a 700r4 with a 3.08 rear and 235/75/r15s, so im thinking if i drive it 3.73s are needed to make overdrive effective, ya know lol.

Looks familiar, mine is an 83 too.

6.2, full load, 3.42's, 700R4 and 235-75's.

I bought it from Can Can for $1000, but that was a 'friend' price. He probably could have gotten nearer to $2K for it to someone else.

Well, it was the brake hose. Shes in the driveway now, but had to replace caliper to because the bleeder screw broke off, but wasnt hard. But drove home from topeka with almost no brakes at times, and others it had great brakes  dang air in the lines, luckily its all highway lol.Need to get it washed and detail interior. Truck runs good, and will smoke the tire if you give her some foot to the floor! Oh, and cruise works. :D

Man this thing rides like a caddy! Passenger side window needs to have ground strap checked as well as lubricated, front turn signal bulb on driver side doesnt work with park lights (probably bulb out, but works with turn signal ) Fuel gauge reads full at 3/8ths of a tank, temp gauge and bolt gauge dont work, and oil psi stays at a max of 15, but i know its not that low, so idk. Gonna have to do some searching see what may be the problem, kinda wierd for 4 gauges to act odd.

For the record, volt gauge all the way to the left, temp gauge way over topped off (wire is grounded somewhere) and the oil psi stuck at 15, fuel max at 3/8ths, chnages when you swap tanks, have not put any fuel in spare saddle.

Try swapping some other guages into the panel. My 83 had a fuel guage that would read 1/4 tank when dead full. I swapped the guage with a known good guage and it was fine. I still need to swap in a volt gauge.

I know temp gauge pegged out is a problem with the wire. I need to go grab the cluster off of my 82 parts truck, and maybe pick up some spares as well. i have 4 extra 79-81 camaro u14 tach clusters just for spare parts lol.

she cleans up good. me and dad put the weatherguard box off my 77 on her. I still wanna make it a 4x4, then put a new stereo system in, then put my cb in her. Debating making it a 3/4 ton 4x4 or just keep it a half ton (maybe settle the difference with a 4.10 semifloater 14b? haha).
