Krawl5 4l80 pain in my ____!

83 Jimmy drw 60 & 70hd, 44 boggers, 4l80e, 205 and other goodies
Anyone know what color the wire is to the starter solenoid? My old one burnt up, i replaced the wire but lost where the other wire went to. Might just hook up a push buttom if nothing else.

Other news i found an old 700r4 flanged front drive shaft in the old pile. Fit perfectly. Now gotta fight the pinion nut off this d70hd to replace with a forged 1410.

K5 kinda pissed me off. She was sponcered by my visa card and still didnt want to go together easily for the wedding so I'm just stacking parts up again and saving for a good welder.

Man I'm trying to get to the ole gal. Works been rough and wifes truck has been eating the cash flow.

So I've slowly been working on the old k5. Recently I got an entire 78 front clip and the body panels and hood wont line up. Anyone have a clue why???

The "crank" wire is usually a thick purple wire on the starter solenoid, goes to the "S" terminal...
You can tap into it at the neutral safety switch at the bottom of the steering colum (or on the switch on the clutch pedal if it has a manual trans)...just remember it'll start "in gear" using a push button,so remember to make sure its in park or neutral before pushing the button..
