Leaking/smoking radiator

The Champion radiators I have dealt with all leaked where the tubes and fins connect to the tanks. My buddy is on his 6th one in about 4 years. They have a lifetime warranty if you can get the right customer service representative. He will spend all day on the phone to not buy a new one. I would get tired of constantly swapping them out, they always start leaking at an inconvenient time.

If you just want the fan to not come on for troubleshooting then unplug the relay from the socket.

Is that an adjustable fan switch with a temp probe by the upper radiator hose?

I honestly don't know. I've never messed with it.
Secondly where and what do I unplug for the fans to not have power?

The fans are set to come on at 180-185ish or there abouts.

I had to tighten all my hose clamps a week ago when it got cold out, I had a small leak. Real cold though, not Arizona cold.

That plug next to the radiator with the red, yellow, green, blue wires is a relay plugged into a socket. Unplug it by lifting the little lock tab.

As @Wes Harden mentioned
The plug is shot, seems like that would be the culprit to the smoking wires/fans.

I would replace that pigtail and go from there

If the fans are seized they could pull a ton of amperage and melt the wiring. Lets see what's inside that fuse holder at the battery. Usually a big green 30A fuse or possibly bigger if both fans are wired together.

May not have anything to do with the rad or fans. Where does the 10 gauge wire go by the battery ??
