Lets see some IFS rigs...

I think I stuck some pictures in here early on. I wheeled the piss out of my '92 for a few years and then it caught up with me. I finally had to abandon ship in '02 when it was just eating me alive with all the pissant little things that were wearing out and breaking.

4L60E, the last year of the 700R4/4L60 was 92 and early '93.
thought so. My brothers '92 has the 700 and was hopin mine didn't :D

By '92 there wasn't much wrong with the 700R4...the 4L60E though...

NICE. Got any more specs on that?

That's how I wished my '92 Blazer would have turned out.

My red '98 crew cab would look good with that stance.

How much did you have to crank the t-bars to get the lift? Is the suspension maxed out completely?

I have a 3" Body Lift, a 2" rear block and Ford Keys. And no the suspension is not maxed out. Probably around a 2" crank...

I've never really gotten under there to look but i've seen the leveling kits and i guess this is just the keys you guys are talking about??

And also are the Ford keys bigger or what?? Meaning they are like the leveling kit??

I'm totally confused on the IFS thing. I know theres not much to it. I would however like to get about 2 more inches with a body lift. My tires rub the bumper pretty hard sometimes. :doah:

The Ford keys are just indexed higher than the stock 1500 keys, therefore giving you more lift. And yes it would be like buying those aftermarket leveling kit keys, except the ford keys are a lot cheaper. I think I got mine for about $40.

So they just go in place of the old ones? I know i'm asking alot of questions. Sorry :doah:

Yup, just take out the old ones and put in the new...not very difficult
what years ford should i look for?? I already have 6" blocks in back .Could i use a zero rate with my blocks or just find 7-8 inch blocks for the back??

Kinda figure 2 blocks is bad news

Blocks + zero rate are fine (ish) since the zero rate is part of the pack.

That said go get an ORD 4" shackle flip and throw that in. Bet you've got some nasty axle wrap now.

If i did that i'd have the 6" Block in back and a 4" flip giving me 10" in back and about 8 in front right?? Wouldn't that be kinda messed up lookin?:doah:

Guess i could always do the flip and buy a set of 4" blocks to make it level :dunno:

I think he means do a shackle flip out back and go with a smaller block if you need one... I can't imagine running a 6"+ block :eek1:

Avery's got it.

Might even consider putting in a long add a leaf on each side and perhaps running an even shorter block.

Blocks = teh suck.
