Lets see some pics of your restored or "being" restored chevy.

Lots of rust and too many holes in the rear fender. I didn't like the pony tank and the two filler necks.

Hey JP, thanks for your comment, the body still hasn't been touched and probably won.t be until spring. I just picked up a used GM 350 HO motor for it so I am playing around with it right now.

How is your Blazer coming along?

'86 with Isuzu Turbo-Diesel Swap

Here's my '86 with re-worked front fender lips, new paint and painted hard-top. Interior is ready to go in, and I'm gonna test fire my isuzu turbo diesel today!

The motors is from a cab-over NPR box truck (AKA chevy W3500). Has a bigger turbo from a buick grand national and a worked injector pump.

just picked up my nos doors today. this is my favorite thread in the whole site. it makes me wish i could modify mine w a nice set of 35"s, but i feel obligated to rebuild it to original b/c of it being unmolested and having a nos body for it.

I understand where you're coming from. My truck has all original metal, I had it shipped from Reno NV 5 years ago and it'll never see a NY winter. As you know K5's are just farm trucks now in the NorthEast.

Yup, I'm glade mine has never really had any rust and when it got hail damage i was able to get GM sheet metal to fix it.

restore

what i started with: used for 24 years as a work truck and then tucked away for another 15 in storage.

This is my 76 k5 it was my dads and now its in my hands for a much needed second lease on life. Its another rusty blazer but that didn't scare me. I am doing a full Resto on the truck. I have doors, quarters, fenders, hood, tailgate, floors, rockers, all new brakes and lines, new interior, hears some pics of wear it is at as of now. it took me a long time to get it wear it is and I am a long way from finishing it but I cant wait to drive it.
