Lets see those C/K30's....

Standard cab dualies always looked odd to me. I'd love to have a crew cab longbed. Killer trucks in this thread I started at page 1 last night, I'm up to page 20 now...

aw man I love this thread. I lost my login a while back. I posted my dually when I first got it. i have since sold it and replaced it with a cucv.

but i miss the hell out of this truck.

It only lets me like this once, that is not nearly enough.

Didn't know you were a member here, I found pictures of your truck a while back when I was supposed to be getting a 79 CC K30, your truck was going to be my inspiration for that truck.

Yeah I guess there's pictures of it floating all over the internet. I recently found out that it's been posted places like Facebook and stuff that I don't take part in... kinda makes me feel like I own a semi-famous truck, lol. Sorry you didn't get that '79, did you get something else instead?

I'm talking to a guy with a 76 K20, But I dare not speak of it here, for the risk of jinxing it are too high.

This was the 79, I did some work for the guy, and he was supposed to give me the truck in return, but he decided to sell it instead.

I guess I can throw this truck in here, It's not mine, But I got it roadworthy, 85 C30, 350 4-speed drug it out of a field, put a new carb on it, changed the passenger front hub, and changed
the hydroboost out for a vacuum booster. (My friend the owner wanted it changed, not sure why)

Last week he traded it for a 91 6.2 diesel half ton 2wd, and yesterday the injection pump called it quits.

Not too big on posting pics of my builds, but gonna make an exception this time! This is my son's truck. We just (last night) finished up an 8K refresh on her. Best part to this story though is that I built this truck 20+ years ago. Sold it in 96 to a good friend, he then sold it in about 2000 to another friend. I bought it back in 2005 when my son was 11 and sold it on Ebay in the spring of 06. She went to Holdenville Oklahoma, and then in 2009 went to Jackson Hole Wyoming. During this time all of the owners kept in contact with me regarding the truck and in October of last year my son bought it back. It's still a beautiful truck! Just went through an exhausting mechanical rebuild, but she's standing tall once again and I'm betting she stays home a little longer this time! P.S. This is the same truck as in my signature--taken in 05!

I plan to stay in contact with you about my crew too :thumb:. I still have your number in my phone. I'm hoping my crew will look half as good as this truck when I'm done with the exterior. If it does, it will be a success in my book!!

That's badass!!! Awesome story!

I just finished the lift and tires yesterday. Have some tidy up to do.

Looks real good. Are those the new pro comp's? What size tires/lift? Has almost the same exact stance as the military 1 ton they build on the youtube series "Dirt Every Day".....maybe you need to put a supercharged caddy motor in yours too just like he did ....:D

I'd love to but man, this 6.2 is not as bad as everyone makes em out to be. I kinda like it for what it is. Mechanical utility with no frills.
These are the 37" procomps on a 4" procomp kit. Should have gone 6" and the new 40s. Shoulda.
