Lets talk BUMPSTOPS!!

This keeps coming up. One of the vendors should stock those things.

And yeah, I noticed the amount of side load on the big poly stops looks a little dicey. Plus the U bolts can tear into them depending on the angle (articulation vs. straight hit).

Bump for long term updates or new ideas....

I'm running some S10 bumpstops up front now. Not bad, progressive and very cheap. Look like this:

did you just get those from a parts store or pick and pull?

Need some new ones for my rig as my timbriens ended up on my dads k5

Wow this look huge! Pics on the truck?

Edit: the ones in blue85's pic.

Tell us more. How long is that thing and how long do you think it is when fully bottomed out? I'd also be curious to know what it looks like installed.

A quick look at S10 (1990?) on Rockauto didn't show a bumpstop like that. What year?

Blue85 got those from me. They come off the back of a mid 90s s10 blazer. I think pickups have something different.

It worked fine with the stock bracket. I drilled a new hole because my axle is moved 1" forward. Sorry everything is such a mess.

I've got a Tahoe in my driveway and never thought to look under it for the bump stops. This thread is making me think

Just got these in gm part number 15712438. 12 bucks on gm parts direct. I would say these are similar to the timbres but hopefully won't fall off. At 12 bucks I had to give them a try

I put those S-10 bumps on a buddy's truck and we have had 1 pop out of the metal retaining cup. It only happened once. I thought maybe if it was a problem we would try running a bolt through.

I find them on the rear of S-10 blazers in the local pick-n-pull. Pretty easy to remove and there seems to be a lot of them in the yard.
