im gettin some crazy vibes around 40 and up.....prolly the alignment...but i dunno. it's not too bad, but it shakes the steering wheel like a motherufcker.

the turning radius is AWESOME with the crossover. i can't wait to throw some mud with these tsl's either. :D

sweet...those rear spring packs are freaking huge... what did you do for the lift? I see your sig says 9" so whats your setup?

yeah, i hope it's not death wobble....at first i thought it was the tires being bias plys so i let them warm up...about 3 or 4miles down the road and still the same thing. what is the best way to cure death wobble...rebuild the king pins??? the axles came out of a truck with 26k miles, and they are nice and tight...but that doesn't mean anything. the king pins literally are the only part i didn't replace. oh yeah, im running 14oz of airsoft beads in each tire since i can't run weights on the insides of my wheels....they barely clear the brakes as it is.

im running 56in one ton dually springs out back with a shackle flip(10 leaves per pack) i don't care about flex, all i do is tow and mud. with 7in shackles out back and 1in raised fully boxed spring perches on the 14FF.

in the front im running 8in bds with a zero rate moving the axle forward. crossover, fully greaseable shackles...yadda, yadda, yadda.... and a body lift on top of all that(unfortunatly) previous owner installed.

oh yeah, 4.56's and a detroit out back(need to fix the sig, i ran out of money for the front detroit right now. haha

Looks awesome man! If you work on your king pins and you still have the wobble, try a dual steering stablizer. I didn't see one from the pics so if you have one on, sorry. I've got hydro assist on mine and have no wobble at all. I'm running 1.1 lbs if air soft BB's in my tires as well. After they warm up it rides so smoothe. I was (still am) amazed at how tight the turning radius is with the crossover as well. MUCH tighter than before. Good job and keep us updated on the wobble. :waytogo:

Way to go man, your truck is absolutely gorgeous!!

I liked before, and I like it even more now.

I can't wait to see some daylight pics.

thanks guys...yeah im not running a steering stabilizer, but my steering box is tapped for hydro assist...just need to get a bit more mulah for the cylinder and lines.... i may try the stabilizers first. ill get ya'll some pics tomm. for sure.

I just used shims on my 60 when I encountered DW. They came with the WFO high steer arms I had ordered. Your truck is super clean and looks great from what I can see.

I would definitely suggest hydro assist over a dual steering stabilizer. It is easy and cheap to do...........

truck looks good, as for the wobble, I added fender washers to the king pin springs, and im running a worn out stabilizer and works fine for me.:D

in your 3rd pic, why does it look like there is space inbetween the spring and the zero rate? can you get a closer pic?

do you have a rear cv driveshaft?

how did the spring look on the passenger side when you put the steering arm on? did you look at the plastic cone to see if it was cracked? i would at least put new springs and cones in both sides.

actually both springs looked ok...i swapped the pass. side cap to the driver side to delete the little arm on the thingy. just looks better too me. i packed them with new grease and reinstalled. as for the third pic, there are degree shims up there, muddybuddy had those installed on his truck when he owned the springs. that's why it looks like that. oh yeah, im uploading new pictures right now.

hey YZeater...i do not have a CV driveshaft...just a stock one. the driveshaft shop said to point the rear end at the output of the trans, then clock it down like 4degrees. it's basically straight at it. i think that may actually be the shaking that i am experiencing. i drove it to work today, and it's actually the whole truck, not just the steering. i may have to shim it back down now. damn it.

ok guys...eat your hearts out....the last 8months of collecting parts has finally paid off.....this is my dream truck, minus the front driveshaft and the death wobble....but other than that, it looks good sitting still. haha

few things.

1st= your springs are shot trust me on this. king pin springs are always shot when i pull them out. i am the death wobble eliminator man in my area. my truck with under 10k miles had to have a new set. when you get a new set of springs and bushings you will be shocked. i would keep the stock left arm and cut off the ear and have a beefyer cap than the tin junker.

2nd= your rear springs are some kind of mess. the #2 and possible #3 leafs are to close to the eye. the pack should be a nice flow taper down to the over load. i bet those springs will ride better if rebuilt and fixed.

3rd= looks like your rear shackle angle is at a 90* angle. it needs to be back a bit to help promote the flow of the system to flaten out under a load.

other than that its a clean lookin truck.
