Lifting my 1974 K5. Need PICS !!

Wish I had some cash cause I would sell you some pro comp front springs and some superlift rears for 300 or so for all 4.

In all seriousness though do yourself a favor and go used different brand or save up a bit and get a better spring. If you buy this and hate the ride, then you spend money twice

I paid 336 for tuff country springs shipped and 189 for a rear shackle flip, a raised steering arm is around a hundred and then just whatever shocks you want and it will ride nice.

I need rear springs ............. so how is shackle flip going to help ?

I can not pay more for lift than I did for the K5 . How does RC stay in business , if all their stuff sucks so bad ? Its not even worth trying , IF my buddy can get lift at cost ? He gets smoking deals .........

So , I go with different lift kit , Where do I get REAR LEAF springs at ? Every lift I look at is about $500-$1000 more than my buddies cost on the Rc complete kit . All 4 leaf springs , NOT blocks , NOT shackle kit .

Here's my Suburban with the 4" R.C. lift and 33X12.50 Yokohama AT's

Keep in mind, right now I have blocks on the rear but in a couple of months I'm installing the rear leaves so that should level up the back and give it less of a saggy arse.

In case you decide to go a little bigger, here was mine at 6 inches and 38's. Rough Country 6 inch.

Here is mine, 4" Tuff Country front springs and DIY4X Shackle Flip and 33x12.50 Firestone Destination A/T. Rides better than stock. Spent way too much money because I did brake lines, bushings, and all the other "might as well" ****. Just finished with an ez inch up front since the flip netted me more than 4" in the rear. Last pic is after ez inch (crappy pic I know)

Looks great !!
How do you like the Rough Country lift ?
I am going to order my Rough Country lift next week 4 in kit with rear spring . Everyone says RC is JUNK ! They offer 100% ride guarantee, so if I hate it I will just take it BACK !

I had a 6 inch Rough Country and I was pissed every time I drove it.

Being a full convertible the truck would flex at the the doors real bad and the suspension wouldn't even move.

maybe with a big block and a winch and a tone of gear in the back it would work.

took it out after one summer.

:eek1: LOVE IT !! OFFSHORE !! :waytogo:

WELL ........ I bought the 4 in RC kit , I got it CHEAP !!! so I have to try it . LOVE the pics

The Ranchos were super stiff but I got by with them for years. Depends what you are doing. If you plan to trail ride where it's rocky/washboard, stiff suspension truly sucks. Street driving or mud, probably not a huge deal.

Thanks for pics !!!

I think it rides fine. It's no lexus but rides just as smooth as other lifts on Blazers in my experience.
