linked one ton escalade (coming back soon)

I did find files to cut these plates out to clean up the look of the front frame rails though. So I might make those tonight, and luckily have tomorrow off work so I can stay in Nebraska and work late tonight.

I could, there’s so much little stuff I need to order and I really don’t have the money to spend right now, but I hate to put it together and have to take it back apart later. We will see how long tonight and tomorrow morning are lol.

Yeah so 3/4 ton frame is quite a bit different, I’ll have to change those files a bit, project for some other time, good thing I tried them with 18g first.

Are you gonna bring it back for tuttle runs or will it stay out in Colorado once it gets out there?

There’s an event later in the year that some guys are doing in Colorado; they wheel all the hard trails and drive the rigs between, no trailering. Like drag week for rock crawlers. My goal is to do that. Then maybe try to sell it. Idk, for how much money and time I have in it I sure haven’t got to enjoy it much :doah:

Sub'd, just read through over the past week or so. The Caddy is awesome, and I've enjoyed the completely squirrel! nature of the thread. Reminds me of being younger with less commitments.

I love the GM stuff, and miss my old K5 that I used to wheel, but I have a TJ as my wheeling rig now... bought it for the wife, but it turns out they are pretty good...

Also, I had an apartment with the exact same floorplan, but it was in Castle Rock. Not all that surprising, but made me look at those pics a few times.

Thanks for reading! Hopefully soon it’s getting updates faster, but Ive been saying that for a while :rotfl:

Tried setting it at full bump with the coilovers out. The bumpstops I had set up at full flex hit well before full bump, so I took them out and even the mount hits about 2 inches before the shock would be fully compressed. All the links and everything look like they would clear another 2 inches of up travel. So might cut the bumpstop mounts completely off and worry about them when I get the money for air bumps, and have help setting them up.

Nice Rig!

Does that feel like too much tongue weight? Those axles are so far back on that trailer it looks like a lot more than the recommended 25% for a gooseneck or fifth wheel, can't tell which one it is. But I do see you kept the heavy rig quite a bit further back. Just not used to seeing a 3/4 ton sag that much. It appears you have half the trailer and a jeep parked in your bed.

Yes the Jeep was a little too far forward, but it pulled surprisingly well. Could set the cruise at 68 and be fine though most small hills without downshifting, but I think I was getting some torque converter shutter when it would kick down or unlock the converter.

Also the superduty axle and crap in the back of the pickup definitely didn’t help hahaha

Yeah definitely too much, I need to just register one of our internationals as a recreational truck in Colorado and use it.

Yeah, I was gonna say, if you plan to add more weight with your camper on that gooseneck, I would say Medium Duty all the way. Preferably something big enough with air brakes, cause when you get to 30k, hydraulic brakes can get a bit sketchy IMO

Yeah just from the picture I would of guessed that trailer at under 5,000 lbs. But the axles are so far back it does seem to be designed for towing with a dually.
